I don't have to run off till about two o'clock to go to work.
I'm over in Kentucky. Where you can again?
Uh, I can't say.
I don't really have anything else to do with it.
I took my hand off the push to talk.
I mean, Kentucky, where are you, Kentucky?
Yep.
Uh, the U.S.
Uh, control U.S.
So it was a cold right now?
Yeah, it's a chemical death.
Yeah, I'm in Texas and it's freaking cold right now.
All right.
It's a little bit below freezing this morning.
Uh, don't think it's below freezing here.
Computer? What's the temperature?
Not using alex, are you?
I am.
Right, homocysteine.
No, I'm using a lexistine.
I also know.
Yes.
I have nothing to worry about.
From Alexa, but I do have homocysteine.
To go along with all my other monitoring equipment.
I'm just invited big brother into my house.
Enjoy what he is and for audio these days.
What do you mean?
Uh, I've discovered a, uh, your, um, sound core, your piece.
And I actually has a mic too and I, it does decent on phone calls.
Oh, um, what I'm using right now is the, um,
Arctic steel series, um, the 9x.
I really, I, I like the headset.
It sounds good.
You can get them relatively cheap.
Um, but, um, like the entire steel series line has a problem with, uh,
plastic breaking right where the connection is on the headset to the, the, the band.
But, um, the nice thing about it is with a 3D printer.
I can, you know, completely redo the shells.
And what I found is that it works really well with the new shell.
So, I have, I have, uh, three of them that I'm using right now.
And then I'm also, I also rotate with, um,
I got my Razor Nari Ultimate's working, well, two of the three of those.
I got working again, so I've been using those as well on a regular basis.
Um, and, um, I still have the, um, my son and I like to use, um,
the Skull Candy crushers, um, when we go to the gym.
So I keep a couple of those in rotation and working.
But the nice thing with the, the arc disk, um,
steel series that the 9x is, is that I can,
with the xbox adapter.
I can hook to my phone and to my computer at the same time.
But because it requires the xbox adapter,
I cannot use the, the 9x on my work computer.
So I will have to switch over to the, um, the Nari for work calls,
because they only do through the computer now.
I'm going to call out to your phone.
Yeah, I'm a little surrounded by headphones.
That good.
I like working on headphones.
So it's, I consider it a good thing.
I mean, if I look right now, I have, um,
other than the ones I mentioned, um,
I've got a wired audio,
like a M50x that's slightly modified to have, um,
a different angle of cup.
So it squeezes the head a little bit better.
And also I have 3D printed the hinge fixes for those
because the hinges break so easy.
And then I have, um,
a knockoff of the HyperX cloud that, um,
the mic isn't as good as some of the other ones,
so I don't use it as often.
And then I tried getting, you know, a, a standard like work headset
that would connect to both my phone and my work laptop, um,
and what's weird about this plan,
electronics headset that I have is that it will do that on a Linux machine.
But then if I hook it up to a Windows machine,
it won't read the microphone.
It doesn't see the microphone,
which makes it kinda useless.
But it's a decent enough headset.
So I keep it as a backup.
Actually right now, I got to find the USB dongle for it.
But it should be here somewhere.
And that's really it.
Oh well, um, I have a bunch of broken, um,
the Skull Candy Hesh 3s
that I need to do various fixes for that my daughters
really like using the Hesh 3s.
So, and those that the yokes tend to break on them really easy,
but those are also easy to 3d print.
And I guess with the crushers, the hinges break on those
really easy as well.
And I've had to print out a crap ton of hinges for those.
But it keeps me printing on the 3d printer.
I don't have any room for a 3d printer here.
I just live in a trailer.
I've lived in a trailer before too.
It's...
Fun.
It's cozy.
This is there.
Yeah, my little, I have my little space set out,
and I just stay with my computer on a bed.
But she's got room for a microwave.
You got room for a 3d printer.
It depends on the size of the microwave.
A big of a space do you need?
But two foot by two foot.
And then maybe maybe two and a half feet tall.
Just looking at my, um, centauric carbon right now.
I mean, they make smaller 3d printers.
Or other budget ones like for the 3d printing.
Well, that depends on what you're calling budget,
honestly, because a lot of people would consider the
elegous, centauric carbon to be a budget
corrects why printer.
But it runs between $250 and $300.
Um, an awful, is it?
No, that's actually a really good price.
But like I said, it depends on what you call budget.
Um, you can still get the the Ender 3 series for around that same price range.
But you're getting more with the elegous centauric carbon
because it has an enclosure and we'll print higher
temp things and we'll print a much faster than the Ender.
But, um, I mean, you can get on to Ali Express.
And I've seen people buy like $70 printers
that, you know, they make a product.
And with tuning and, you know, if you can keep ahead of everything on it,
then it doesn't do terribly.
It's just, you know, they make better ones.
Uh, so I remember right, um,
there's an STL or not an STL, but G code that comes with the centauric carbon.
Uh, that will do a really nice benchy in about 15 minutes.
What's that?
It's a benchy.
It's basically the term.
It's, you've never heard of a benchy.
Uh, it's a little bit.
It's a little bit.
It's a little, um, boat that tests your printer.
And, um, there's various parts of it that, like,
overhangs and, um, it's a bridging and, um,
lettering on the bottom and just different things that will tell you,
uh, if there's anything that needs calibrated on your printer.
Oh.
Okay, now you say that I, I think I've seen that.
Yeah.
It's still what I was called.
It's a cool little print.
It's usually people's first print.
Although my first print was, um,
Yoda.
It was a Yoda head.
On the model price, uh,
makers select V2, which was my first printer.
And then my second printer was the Ender 3v2.
And then now I have the Elagusentari Carbon.
And I think I'm going to end up,
it, he would already have it.
My son would already have my Ender 3v2.
If he could actually, like, clean his room.
And I guess that's too much to ask.
You had a kid to clean the room?
Huh?
Yeah.
I remember trying to get my kid to clean his room.
Yeah.
If mine could get his clean and, like, keep it clean,
he would have a 3D printer in there.
Maybe because he, he tends to go stay at my dad's for the summer.
Maybe I'll let him take it with him then.
Yeah, my daughters bought me the Elagusentari Carbon
for, for my birthday.
They, they went together on it.
I've had it for about six months now.
All right.
I'm going to have to jump off for a bit, guys.
I'll talk to you later.
Bye.
Bye.
Hi.
Get it.
All right.
And I guess I'm back later.
Hi, George.
Got your in the stream.
Hello, Ken.
The stream was working.
Good morning.
Or almost afternoon in your part of the world.
Yep.
Still the work to do.
Well, it's so quiet today, I guess.
Well, there's a bit of talking earlier about,
you see headphones,
and their printers.
Don't read me for me.
Audio book.
That was audio books.
There's a little conversation, Brian.
I just saw your pollstone,
the HBO channel, so I come into check.
That's working for me.
Yeah, it was me.
It was my problem.
Spectrum.
We start the recordings in here.
We want sick.
No.
I want give you one say.
Well, George.
Hello.
For me though, that may be.
It will cause a problem for the person who stands at the
issues together.
Please go do that.
How's your day so far, Archie?
I'm too bad.
It's still early.
You could do okay.
Well, I'm delighted that.
I'm affected.
It's not a quick and time.
Yes, here.
Oh, drop off.
Thing me if there's nothing.
I'll do.
George, you already went for your morning walk at Walmart.
Yes.
I took my quick roundabout walk to Panara first.
I got with a few people that I usually disagree with.
And politically wise.
And then had a couple of coffees came home.
Well, roundabout through Wallyworld.
Pick up some.
I don't know.
I'm not an alcoholic type.
Things for tonight.
So I'm going to have some beer.
You never know.
Somebody else might.
Or they might all be.
I don't have anything but coffee in the house.
It's mine.
It's a good choice.
Yeah, I have tons of coffee.
I'm an entire freezer door full of coffee.
But this is more for.
I don't know.
Like fake champagne.
So we got the.
So here's a story for you guys.
So I'm checking them.
I might buy hot terminal.
So it's actually.
So that is.
And three hours ago.
I was posted that I ran into his under a massive cyber attack.
So I wonder if that state authorized from say is real slash US.
But my guess is it is coming from anywhere.
It's coming from Israel.
They have some of the best.
Cyber thing is going out there.
Other than China and Russia.
So I don't think we have all the abilities.
One thing we should have.
Yeah, it looks like the cyber attack is getting one of the.
It looks like it's coming from 120,000 different sources.
And it's attacking.
What's the name of the company?
One of the country's communications providers.
I'm not giving them.
I assume.
Yeah, it's not saying which completely.
Repel and neutralize.
So apparently, you take long has no internet.
I guess.
It's not getting away from this article.
And we'll drop it on.
I think we have a place for show notes here too.
I have to check it out.
I'm going to see why it's my phone trying to re-lock the bootloader.
And then I forgot to put Baja.
The news back on.
That's it.
I don't know.
I don't know if anyone can see that without without a count.
I get to find the other URL.
Thank you.
I'm doing this for my PC in my phone.
Now there's reports coming in of an attack on a cover building in Tehran.
I'm trying to find the Baja.
I happened to play store and I'm missing it.
Yeah, I think it's still there.
It should be BHA financial or something.
I don't know.
He used to be called the.
Might be under on.
I don't know what it was called.
Teletrater was the initial name for Baja.
We before us by.
Hello, pirate.
Oh, hi.
Oh, hi.
Oh, hi.
Oh, hi.
I can't fall in a netmine right here.
I've seen a new y'all in a good while.
Probably since last year.
I haven't heard netmine or talk.
But then again, I was up an hour later than when the stream started.
Oh, yeah.
I'm just getting up.
It's probably up on six a.m. local.
You must be West Coast then.
Sorry.
You're on the West Coast then.
I'm in eastern time.
I, yeah.
Yeah.
Seattle.
So that's close to where my sister lies.
She's in Oregon.
We only drop in a few minutes.
I got a minute.
I put this meditation thing at 10 a.m. after.
So.
And now I'll be back.
So after that.
Anyone.
Gonna be.
And I don't see the time zones here in four minutes.
I think according to the HPR page,
we were not doing that anymore.
Oh, that's slightly unfortunate.
Oh, I guess any one of you could really do it if you wanted to.
I mean, you know, it's not like a step.
I'm very proud of the fact that I was on the first one of these.
So I sure you are working on a.
Interesting projects these days.
I have an HP 600 something that many people see that I put.
One terabyte NVMe drive in and also put the same type of drive in my laptop to upgrade it.
I also have an HP project.
I've been working on there.
Mine is not a mini piece.
It is in fact a mini computer.
If you understand the difference.
Together.
A mini computer is.
It's smaller than the mainframe, but it's got mainframe like properties.
In this case, it's got three CPUs.
And it has eight megabytes of RAM.
And it's a giant beast from the mid 80s.
I think the text is speech interrupted you from the chat.
But I think I understand what's going on.
It was like an interesting project.
That's an HP 9000 series 550.
If I get it working, it might be the only working example in the world.
Maybe I've got it.
So it gets to the point where it wants to load an OS.
And I'm trying to emulate the disk and have it quite got that part worked out yet.
But once I get that part working, then I'll be pretty greedy.
And then I got to figure out what to do with it.
Because it didn't make a waste of RAM.
Very much.
That was a lot back.
By the way, do you see a place for show notes?
I'm trying to look on the HP or something.
I actually don't.
It's right.
I look the fur down and says add the show notes.
Please.
I don't want to drop it in the chat.
But it is on the HP or main page.
Show.
It's show not stop.
Logcast.mywire.org.
There it is.
I don't see any show notes in here yet.
We're talking about the L.A.G.V.
3D printer.
A little while ago about 20 or 30 minutes ago.
I'll add a little bit about the HP 9000.
Oh, look up my HP 600 shortly.
If Amazon drop it in the notes.
Unfortunately, Amazon has all my history of everything I bought.
Just the other of the show notes.
Maybe you could drop in a little bit about the Baha terminal.
Baha terminal.
It's for business.
Sometimes it gives news to.
We're talking about Israel's cyber attacking something.
I can't remember.
George Joe Smart would have to fill on up.
Oh, yeah.
I did a link to the HP computer museum paid on the computer working on.
I think I'm going to hop off for a while on the D.M.
Morning routine.
Kind of wanted to see if anyone is on just yet.
Clearly, y'all are probably back in a few hours.
Good morning, Moss.
I'm just trying to gather information about the last couple of subjects.
One of them being the L.A. Gu carbon printer for 3D printing.
Moss, you should be able to go to the initial set up set that pushed to talk from.
I just signed to the left control.
But I'm no more right now.
Well, it might be working now.
I hear you, Moss.
It is working just fine.
You're coming through loud and clear.
Great.
It's also putting spaces in the text box.
I'm going to have to go back and use something other than a spacebar.
Do you use left control?
I accidentally pressed that sometimes when I'm on the PC, but usually works.
All right. Got it on left control.
Sounds good to me.
Good morning, Archir.
Good morning.
I'm usually not up this early.
Time is on, are you?
Eastern?
Same.
Yeah, that I'm old. I usually don't get up this early.
I was up at 1.30 and then went back to bed a couple hours later and then back up at 6.
I tend to get up to pee and then go right back to sleep.
I get things on my mind and I just get on the laptop and just keep going.
Yeah, that's why I'm awake now.
I try and keep things off my mind in the middle of the night.
But you can't always.
I have an even started the pot yet.
So you need coffee to make coffee, right?
That's a poor cat a while ago.
I trapped my cat in this room with me.
So he wouldn't be out and wake up my wife.
He still does the same art.
I still have that cat that I think we talked about last year.
And he's telling me I was at the door.
Well, we had three cats last year and we're down to one now.
I'm sorry.
That we are just getting up there.
He's closer to 14 in February.
Yeah.
Our remaining cat is 13 in April.
We actually don't know when his birthday was.
So we just say that since we got him around our anniversary.
So we say his birthday is February.
And then we got a buggy in.
Uh, initially July.
We rescued him.
He's part beagle part Boston Terrier.
Okay.
Yeah.
I was with Cecil when he was born.
But I don't remember what day it was.
I basically just looked at his.
Uh, bay records and extra related backwards from there.
Um, new to records.
Sorry.
More than else, Beth.
What time's on are you in?
I am in central.
I'm not certain if you can hear me though.
We can hear you.
Can hear you.
We're both Eastern.
Moss.
How far are you?
I am in eastern Tennessee.
So I'm not that far away.
I'm in central Turkey.
A little bit more about an hour north of Lexington.
Yeah.
We just moved this year after over nine years in plain Tennessee to Morris town.
I used to live over in Oak Grove.
That's a bit of ways from where you all are.
But he's living Kentucky on the border.
Yeah, I'm not going to move again if I can help it.
I'm 73 now and it was way too rough.
We haven't even come close to unpacking yet.
I am actually currently packing for a move across the pond.
Oh, my.
If I ever move again, they're just going to have to send someone to come and pack all my stuff.
I've been doing more of me because I can't.
I don't blame you.
Not one bit.
I'm amazingly mobile for all the health problems I have.
I mean, none of the health problems are keeping me from standing up and walking around.
Thank goodness.
Good to hear you at least have some mobility.
Yeah, I've been doing substitute teaching.
Uh, I basically babysit.
I make sure they don't burn the room down and that's about it.
That is a huge endeavor.
Yeah, they say when you get so old that, um, you know, you can't work.
So what your bills go away?
No, that doesn't happen.
Yeah, that that's not a thing in this world.
Social security is not covered two people in my wife's.
Import from Canada and is not eligible for anything anywhere.
Oh, my.
I forget how much I get.
I let her handle the finances, but it's 14 something a month.
So we need a lot more money than that.
I get that.
Well, my mother passed away almost five years ago and we have a five year grant from her.
Uh, that every month we get a certain amount of money, which is more than I've ever made in my life.
But still not really that great.
We can get all the things we always wanted, but um, we can't really keep anything in savings
because the things we want break down and we have to pay for that.
And it expires in June, June is our last payment.
Well, hopefully something will come through for you between now and then.
The idea of my wife moving down here was that she was going to work.
And I was going to more or less pick up things on the side and it hasn't happened.
She has not been healthy enough to work.
Oh, that's unfortunate.
I'm sorry to hear that.
Hopefully it's new year will bring better health and wellness for both of you.
She's just hoping it doesn't bring an ice agent to the door.
I'm not even going to respond to that.
That would be awful.
She is scared.
I'll tell you that.
Even though she's white and Canadian.
Yeah.
Hey, Lee.
Well, I already have this week's full circle weekly news in the can.
I just have to edit it and send it to our fearless leader, Ronnie.
Can you say Lee was here?
I see him. He's muted.
And he's probably figuring out how to get it going.
I wanted to tell him that you make a good team when you get together on the podcast.
He's the reason I even do podcasts.
I love doing them when he, like, asked me questions.
And I can respond because it's easier for me to communicate that way.
Please forgive me.
What podcast?
HPR.
Okay.
You've done a few.
Elizabeth has done a few episodes now with Lee.
Yeah.
What time do you start coming on?
I think he recorded our first one in May or June.
I don't remember.
I think he was earlier.
Yeah.
That's right.
That's right.
It was early on the year.
I've done a couple of this here, but I've been taking a long sabbatical permit cast.
But I've still been keeping both circle weekly news going every week.
That's awesome.
I want once I move across the pond, I'll probably have more podcasts coming on.
Full circle weekly news is fun because I get my news articles from Eric the Unready
News in South Africa.
And then I do the episode and I send it up to Ronnie Tucker who's in Scotland.
And he publishes it.
Lee does all my audio and editing and everything like that.
And then just sends me the links so I can post it.
Yeah.
This is the only podcast I've ever done the audio editing on.
It's easier because it's just me.
But I meant cast was always fun because we never knew who was going to be on.
And I don't know.
I just, I was not going to be doing audio editing for five or six streams.
And that would be a lot.
I think in April, I'll hit my five year anniversary on Pulse Circle Weekly News.
I'm amazed.
Congrats.
I haven't missed a week yet, although sometimes they get submitted weird.
Just a couple weeks ago, Ronnie was holding them back because he couldn't find the link
file for 442.
And so 441 wasn't released and 443 wasn't released until I got the major third time,
fourth time I got into the link file.
Yeah.
I'm still learning all the nuances of everything.
Lee's the one that is the expert in this.
I just offer random info dumping.
Yeah.
Fun thing where the news are news podcasts.
I don't know half of what I'm talking about.
I just have to make sure I'm trying to pronounce it right.
Still be fun though.
I love news stuff.
That's curated in a way that I can just, you know, listen and.
Well, tune in, you know, we're on all the pod catchers.
Yeah, I'll check it out.
If you can't find it on the pod catcher, just go to full circle magazine.org.
And there'll be a link there.
Moss, what do you use as a pod catcher?
What do I use?
I think I've got pod cast addict right now.
I was on pod cast addict for a long while.
And it, it goes well with when you're on a rental car and you're using the Google system.
But I want to use antenna pad too.
I just got switched before between the two.
I used antenna pod in the beginning.
But once I started using pod cast addict, I stopped using it.
I can't handle multiple streams, you know.
It's understandable.
Just use what works for you.
I figure sometime.
Mark your April.
I'll get back on mint cast.
That's been going says 2008 now.
And somehow it keeps going no matter who cycles in and out of the cohost chairs.
They actually have a tally of who did which episode and how many episodes they've done.
And I number four on the frequency list.
And oh, I wish I had this voice all the time.
This is my favorite voice.
I usually sound like I'm scattered and have an octave up from here.
Okay, I've got full circle podcast.
So I can check it out later.
Thank you.
I am about to edit for 46 some time today.
I wish I had limit trades just set up.
Oh, well.
What are limit trades?
I'm assuming it's stock market where you set it up.
That if it goes over this, then you sell it and it goes under that you buy.
Oh, my brain totally spaced on that context.
So pretty much he's right.
It's basically right now.
I'm just looking at what I'm looking at fires.
I was right now because the dow is down.
But yeah, I'm just looking what I'm willing to pay for certain stocks.
And then I set a limit to end of day, which is we have a full stock market.
A nice, nice deck today.
So it's open to four.
Yes.
So I set up limit trades.
Right now this is a day like this.
I would normally buy instead of sell also.
Yeah, this has been a rough year for me.
I've cut way back on what stocks I still have.
I'm going for one that is not going to pay off for at least several years.
And another one that's going to pay off really big in several years.
If you know, you know,
and I'm I'm only down to four stocks.
Stupid Robin Hood went and gave me a crypto.
I didn't want and I'm waiting for it to go up.
So I can sell it and put it into one I do.
Yeah, it despises Robin Hood.
But this is me.
I do have a Robin Hood account.
But they have a classic terminal look now.
But I've been using E-Trade for years before that.
It was share builders.
And then it was ING financial.
I think.
And then that got sold to E-Trade.
So I guess I've only trade since 2000.
The 4ish 5ish.
Robin Hood is trying to get everyone interested in them.
They're doing these big giveaways over the holidays.
And they're big giveaway got me $2.19 worth of dough,
which I do not want.
Everyone wants dough.
Actually, that's one of the few.
Because it's based I think it's based off Ethereum.
I'm not that much in a crypto.
And crypto is garbage right now.
Because it's losing every one money.
But I follow it just to just to know.
But those I think it's based off Ethereum.
If I was going to trade anything would be Ethereum stuff.
I have a lot of crypto, but not like crazy amount.
Yeah, the only crypto I have in want is Pengu.
Because it's, you know, Pengu.
Pudgy penguin.
And I don't care whether it goes up and down.
I don't have more than 30 bucks in it anyhow.
If it goes way up, great.
If it goes down, I can just sit on it.
Someone out there made it big off of a hard drive
that I disposed of an unintentionally long time ago.
Right now all I have is a little bit of stellar.
And even that's probably not worth anything.
Yeah, I think Pengu is based on Monaro.
But I just got it for the penguin.
I would have got it for the penguin too.
If I'd seen it.
They actually were selling stuff to animal penguins.
It at Wal-Martin.
Very other stores.
We bought a few of them.
Ooh.
I mean penguins that were actually produced by the company
that does Pengu.
Oh, cool.
If you see any Pudgy penguin toys,
they're backing Pengu or backed by Pengu.
I don't know how it goes.
I suppose they found a way to make some actual money
while they were building up the stock.
He's trying to get things.
Yeah.
I just try not to find that.
The push to talk is working.
It is.
It sounds good.
I was going to say it isn't just to confuse you.
You should do that.
That's what has had a little bit.
Yeah.
We all need to be more confused.
Oh.
That is what it is.
Today's market is all red.
It's probably going to close my terminal or minimize it for about three hours.
You know.
I'm going to talk to you guys.
Yeah.
Well, we have to go to another town.
We bought a car.
And my answer through a credit union that does not have a branch in this town.
And we've been fighting like hell to get our account set up at that credit union.
And no, we're just going to have to go to the nearest one,
which is like 25 miles away.
No, we're not rich.
We bought a 2014.
I have to drive like 17 minutes just to get to a Walmart or grocery store.
It's a small town life.
Yeah.
Morris town has two Walmart's amazingly hand.
A Walmart neighborhood market, which is only four tens of a mile from us.
Oh, that's nice.
Our town only has a bank.
A beauty salon that's never open.
A bar that's always open and a wood fire pizza place.
Interesting fact about Walmart that they switched from nice to nice.
That recently.
Well, the last month and a half.
Sam Walton would be rolling in his grave right now with what his kids have done with that place.
Well, at least haven't been revocos.
He has a finger.
Hey, one of the female Walton airs has turned liberal.
Well, after she got away with killing someone.
I guess that would be the way she'd go home.
I'm not an issue with liberals or anything.
I just she got away with some stuff.
I wasn't aware of that.
I spent 28 years of my adult life in Oklahoma.
So the talk about Walmart was big then.
Yeah, I generally am anti Walmart, but after so long of being broke.
You don't have too many other choices.
There you go.
That's why that's the only reason I still shop at Walmart.
And even then I try and go to Aldi when I can.
I refer to it as Voldemort.
I like that.
I got that from 11 year old girl about 15 years ago.
I needed.
I needed to work.
So I'm going there.
I'm working there.
Probably.
I either call it while we were older.
Get a mart.
It just depends on the location.
Voldemort.
The story which must not be named.
Does anybody have the mobile app?
I'm trying to turn off the text to speech.
The instructions were that we had to have on text to speak.
The instructions were pushed to talk.
Text to speech keeps interrupting you.
Oh, okay.
I'm sorry.
My brain is not working.
Like I said, I'm not usually up this early.
It's quite right.
It's just I want to hear people talk.
And then when somebody dropped something in the chat, he talks to me.
And the answer on my end is no.
I do not have the mobile app.
So I'm sorry.
The mobile app doesn't work for me because I got an iPhone.
And it just doesn't work.
I'm barely confident to use the desktop app.
I found the checkbox to uncheck.
So it's final.
Yay.
Lee, why aren't you talking?
I'm 18.
I eat bite potato.
We have ham and lettuce and all that kind of stuff.
It says to spare you all from that.
Oh, okay.
And I've got a shop here called.
Is it subway all great?
So let me just check actually.
I'm proud of you, Eric.
So okay.
This is not local knowledge.
I've just checked.
This was subway.
So I've been to subway and Madrid.
I guess there are subway.
I mean.
And I also prefer to work.
It still amazes me that there's so many American fast food.
Places over there on the high street.
Yeah.
Moving to Morris town.
There are some of our favorite fast food places.
We don't have here.
We have to drive all the way back in Knoxville.
Don't get me wrong.
We have most of the things.
But like we don't have a panera bread.
We don't have a pen station.
Those are two of ours.
Trying to think.
I think the closest thing to a local ish fast food chain that we have.
It's culvers, but it's kind of gotten real big.
And it's originally from Wisconsin, which is not where I'm at.
Yeah.
There's the culvers in Knoxville.
It used to be located close to Wisconsin.
We've eaten at culvers a couple of times.
It's pretty good.
I like it.
But if you have any issues with your digestion.
It's probably not the best place to go with all that butter that they cook the burgers with.
Ah.
Well, the Taco Bells.
We have three Taco Bells in Morris town.
And none of them are any good.
I mean, it's one Taco Bells.
It's just.
Yeah.
I've always had toxic health.
So you.
I'm one up on you.
I have heard that most.
Taco Bueno is better than Taco Bell.
We don't have that.
We do have one Taco Johns.
And it was good.
And it's gone downhill.
I tried Del Taco once when it first came to Tulsa.
I don't know.
I don't live there anymore.
But.
Yeah.
Del Taco's an interesting.
Amalgamation of different things.
Yeah.
When I was in Denver, we had Papantaco.
And that was kind of cool.
But that was back when you could get a Taco or a hot dog for 29 cents.
I think you just aged yourself a little bit there.
Yeah.
I already announced my age earlier if you were listening.
Yeah.
I was just.
Just laugh.
And because I was looking at gas prices the other day.
And they around here.
They had one place that had it for 212 a gallon.
And I was like.
Goodness.
Creep.
But I also remember when it was 75 cents a gallon to.
Well, yeah.
But apply a inflation in the 212 a gallon is a lot cheaper than the 75 cents.
Yeah.
And every 75 $4 in the last five years around around 10 to see it didn't get above
$3 less or five years.
They did get up there quite a ways under Obama and the first Trump administration.
But it's been under $2.
It's been lately.
It's been like between 259 to 79.
But I saw some to 29 just yesterday.
So I guess it's cheaper right now.
Yeah.
It was at 25 cents.
It was 92 cents when I was a kid.
75 cents.
But I at the time that it was 75 cents.
It was also in a location that was very, very close to some massively huge refineries.
When I was a kid in Los Angeles.
I left LA in 1970.
That'll age me here.
I was 99 at the name brand stations.
And you could get powering for 12.
Wow.
And it took clear if I put it in the chat, but it was 94 when it was 75 cents.
I'll be back.
I'm going to go get some more copy.
Well, I never my wife is fully awake.
We'll be leaving for a while.
George at one point, most of my stocks were pot stocks because I was figuring sooner
later they'd get legal.
I make money on them.
But they went up above what I paid for them.
The so I sold them out for something that would make money.
Now, except for one that would never get up.
And recently, it started getting up close to what I paid for it.
And so I bought some more.
Did you buy till Ray was that this time?
I sold till Ray till Ray got up above what I paid for it.
Till Ray went crazy.
Now, it's normalized since the 10 to 1 split.
But now they're now they're kind of making money again.
So, but I sold them after the 10 to 1 split.
Because they did get up above my price.
Right now all I've got is CGC canopy.
I've got, I mean, I should probably put them in a side port from Leo.
But I've got a bunch of cannabis.
And can't have been slashed.
This still Ray slashed CBD stocks.
Oh, I think you're sooner or later.
They're going to be legal.
And then they'll shoot up.
Maybe a little start stop charging and arm in the wing and taxes on it.
I'll just buy the gummies.
And this stuff gives me weird dreams.
So I don't even do that that much.
I've got a friend that makes me chocolates.
And definitely below market prices.
And it's more or less a sleep aid for me.
Does not give me bad dreams for some reason.
It used to back in the day.
I thought was not a good, not a good anything for me back then.
But these days I don't need my brains at night.
So whatever.
Back then, you could probably only get creeper,
which would give you nightmares or bad dreams.
I'm really big on the science behind it.
And the cannibal and a cannibal oiling system and stuff from what all the terpenens do.
Well, I haven't even had my chocolate for a couple weeks now because I applied for another school district.
It's in the county.
I would just move to the pays better than my old county.
And I figured sooner or later they're going to call me in for a drug test.
Doesn't matter how legal it is when you're applying for a school district job.
Right.
Yeah, I would be careful there.
It's not really legal in any sense here.
And you can't, but you just walk down any street, any side alley.
Probably smell it.
Yeah.
I smell it a lot of the Walmart.
Can't film mine.
It's in case in chocolate.
I was so scared.
I was scared.
In the UK when I was over there, a couple of years back.
You travel over to Oregon and you get it anywhere you want.
I was surprised going to the Netherlands that there was.
It's not as legal as everybody thinks it is over here in the US.
Yeah, it's something like they have a kind of legal attitude to it.
That it's a permitted thing.
But it's strictly illegal.
But they'll permit it unless like your causing trouble in which case they'll stop here.
And I think.
When I was looking at the legalities of it, they left it up to the counties or towns to decide.
But they will allow them what they don't.
But it's kind of like they turn a blind eye to it.
Unless something bad happens from it.
Speaking of which, I've got a new friend in Netherlands.
I've been chatting to on signal that I met on Master on.
We lead had to go and be charming and take me on a holiday over there.
It was absolutely amazing.
Fantastic.
Got to meet up with Ken too.
It was really cool.
Yeah, I need to do some more podcast for Ken.
Right now, it's all I can do to keep up on my weekly podcast.
So actually, you're not allowed to reuse a podcast.
You've done elsewhere.
But someone else can do a clip of your podcast.
In fact, they can do a clip of your whole podcast.
Now, as you meet Sandra at LGPL license.
And this is how you hear this podcast I heard.
And I'm including it in its entirety.
It's under NLJPL license.
Well, when I first started digital hoppers digest back in April of 2020,
we got permission to actually do our first episode as a whole on HPR.
Now, I think we had over 3,200 listeners on HPR.
And we got maybe 75 on our own stream.
Yeah, actually, but I've never even looked into how HPR is distributed.
I've gotten no idea if anyone's listening to it and I changed anything like that.
So I need if I look at the HPR website itself.
About the only reliable statistics unless you're publishing platform actually keeps stats.
Are going to internet archive and anything that isn't distributed through internet archive.
They can't capture.
Right.
If you do a general search on HPR radio, there does come out a lot of different streams.
I think it is on Apple podcasts.
Oh, I'm even saying that probably.
Yes.
If I do, and I think they put in probably ads.
I've split if I put in ads in the months.
They think that's interesting.
I haven't been on Spotify, so I can't test to that.
But I would imagine they would, since they're a public company.
Yes.
Spotify has all sorts of ads.
Yeah.
I use Spotify mostly for my listening and podcasts, just because it's all in one.
And it's what I've been using for a hot minute.
I will point out that poll circle weekly news does not have ads in his 15 minutes or less.
So they're going to have trouble finding spot the stick ads in.
They put it at the very beginning.
Like before you can listen to the podcast, they'll throw an ad.
And then if it doesn't have any ads added to it, it'll be at the beginning.
I do not know if we're on Spotify.
I know he started using YouTube for it, which is weird since we're audio only.
They do the same thing unless you turn it off.
Can I interrupt?
I wanted a little, Mr. X came on about 20 minutes ago, and I forgot to say hi to him.
Oh, hi, everybody.
I don't know how this will sound.
I'm using new buds and I'm out walking.
Yeah, just being to anonymous and walk with the tech companies, D-Coff.
How you all doing?
Doing great.
Thanks.
Welcome.
Doing well.
Doing well.
Yeah, we wrote it, obviously.
Wasn't you heard that would sound?
Yeah.
You know, through, um, you know, got a phone here basically.
Uh, uh, probably can't stick it on.
I wasn't, I've been listening to you for the last few minutes.
It's a little bit interesting.
Uh, so I'll be, I'll be, I'll soon be home.
And I think we're going to be having a lunch after that.
Some homemade pizza I believe.
So, uh, I'll let pop in a bit later on at some point.
Uh, a bit, uh, probably can hold it much longer after they get home.
So, uh, you and Dave Morris are pretty close to each other,
and I get to hear your interactions a lot on a heck of a public radio.
Yes, I've got to look at it well.
Uh, he's not that close.
Uh, he's, uh, more in tone than me.
I'm more in there.
I hope back basically.
But, uh, yes, I, uh, uh, uh, uh, we, uh,
they've talked about, uh, doing another show together, uh,
uh, and uh, but I was kind of non-committal, uh, in good league.
But the one that's seen all, because he was just happy to, you know,
if we don't, uh, if we do one or not, it's, you know, you know,
it's, you know, it's fine.
Um, but it's just, just to me, it's quite totally,
everyone will do another one, uh, maybe this year, you know, but not.
Um, uh, uh, uh, when picked up here's what we can all hear, okay.
I've been, I've been building a,
one for the, for this year, uh, so, I got that time during the Christmas break to,
to get better, because he's done to only pure all the same stuff, I think.
But, uh, yes, I, I gives a great chat.
So, uh, yeah, very good.
Regarding popped in, good to hear you.
I'll see you.
Yeah, I mean, I've been playing around with the bow thing.
I think that, um, it showed me, uh, back in there.
It was all the way back in November in 2024.
And, uh, haven't really, haven't really used the amateur radio stuff properly.
I've just been doing software to find radio and just listening to stuff on that.
And I've, I've recorded one or two podcasts about that, and it's,
they're still on the reserve queue, but even I recorded them, like, over six months ago.
So, yeah, I, I don't know if you were talking to me or, uh,
I just came in, but, uh, maybe me, uh, I would have had a show on the bow thing
we've been back in the day.
Uh, yeah, I'm not, uh, I need to be often used to sort of have been on again,
but, uh, not very often.
Right, that's people at home, uh, look for it to hear in your other shows,
or how it was like these sort of things.
Um, so, yep, I'll catch you all a bit later.
I'll probably just carry on my stuff from there one.
Just for over there.
We're getting ready to go to our, uh, on our annual trip to Atlanta,
her gut-viltk, the Georgia-viltk convention, which is, uh,
Viltk is you may or may not know, is the music of the fantasy and science fiction community.
I see how interested everyone is.
Okay.
I deserve that.
Had you spelled Viltk.
F-I-L-K.
I know, Viltk.
Well, I'll be going to give Viltk in, uh, this second weekend of January,
as I almost always do.
I am so jelly right now.
This might be my last one, both from Asian money.
I used to be, like, I used to go and volunteer and do stuff with, um,
one of the big cons and Tulsa, and then I'd go up to, uh,
Conquest up in Kansas City, and then I was doing cons up here in the frozen tender up north.
Well, I've got some music out, and I just posted my link on the chat.
We're going to check it out.
I am in the range of pretty good.
I mean, no one would kick me out of that living room,
but no one in the signing me to a recording contract.
So, um, interesting piece of musical entertainment, uh, was, uh,
or camp, um, I think a guy, Alan, I've done a, um,
did a version of, um, the Finnish people, YMCA,
but he did, um, html, but with all the actions.
That sounds like fun.
You are under crediting your abilities there quite a bit.
Why thank you.
I have my inputting your music and the show notes.
Not at all.
Uh-huh.
Well, you do that for me.
How do I do it?
You should put it in the chat room.
I put it in the chat room, yes.
Okay.
I'll grab it out of the, uh, out of there and put it in the user pad.
She had a brief lesson.
Nice, really, really good.
Well, I have one perfectly produced CD and I have sold fewer than 200 copies.
It's, it's really good, but if people didn't know what folk was,
they might not look into it.
This is actually really good stuff.
I'm actually only about half-filk.
I do regular folk.
I do, uh, folk influence regular music.
I also do old union songs, although I don't get much call for that.
Kind of, but the folks, I love folk music quite a bit.
I actually just recently got, um, a few months ago got encountered a, uh, he calls it afro-filk.
His name, his, his band name is Monrovia.
And that was some, like, a new taste on folk that I, are not folk folk music that I hadn't experienced before.
And I love a quite a bit.
But I love anything that has a folk feel that style.
Well, I've got a lot of stuff there on band camp.
Most of it.
You can actually download free if you care too.
Yeah.
I'm not saying you.
I've worked as a volunteer just recording a speech.
So I've never actually gone to the, to even even attempt recording audio.
Um, that's something completely alien to me.
So I wonder what the differences are between recording music and recording.
Um, yes, what many recording music and recording voice.
What was the question, Arthur?
I could just go to bandcap and get link.
Uh, I'm going to, I didn't see or post in the chat or in the show in either pad.
It's more duest.bandcamp.com.
M-o-r-d-e-w-i-s.
More duest is the Welsh version of the name of which moss is that administrative.
For me, I just band camp, uh, I got a couple of albums there.
I know I'm back a little bit when we're talking about our stuff, but, um,
I just posted in YouTube the first Philip song that I ever heard.
Ah, Tom Smith and old.
He used to be an enemy. He's a friend. He should have been a friend all along, but he,
I built some of this stuff and he took, uh, an agent like it.
And so he got kind of nasty there for a while.
That happens in that sort of scene, unfortunately.
I'm sorry to hear that though.
With everyone I have heard of, I am the only one that he took offense to from
Filking his stuff.
Probably because you're good.
At the time I was new at writing and I was literally attacking him, but it was for fun
And he should have seen it was for fun.
Uh, you know, our church style of music.
I think that, uh, moss could probably explain it a little better than I can.
Wikipedia can explain it better than anybody. They got a huge page on Filk.
There is an excellent discord channel called Bill Cave.
And if you're interested else with a lot of people were in there and, uh,
a lot of the big names that you know.
If you know any of the big names.
That's cool.
I'm kind of low to add another discord channel to my stuff.
I'm trying to keep up with wasn't hot.
I do understand that.
I have almost pulled out a telegram.
There's I think one or two channels I have to keep because they refuse to move.
I recently just made a folder and through all the servers that I needed to stay in.
But didn't want to actively participate into a folder because I learned how to do that.
And I was like, now I can just open the folder if I want to.
Or I can ignore it completely.
I would forget where the folder is.
Mine. Well, I usually use discord on my phone.
Mostly because I'm active in a gaming community.
Um, and we talk all the time.
Um, so on my phone, I don't know how to get to it.
But I'm like computer.
I can easily just click it and it opens and then click it in that shop.
Anyhow, Bill Cabin started out on use net and then got an IRC channel.
And both of those.
Well, use net is not closed down, but no one uses it.
IRC channel is closed down.
And it's basically just a discord now.
I might have actually been a part of it like a long time ago.
But I would have never connected the dots until you said that.
I'm pretty certain I was in a a film channel on a IRC back in the day.
Well, I believe Rob Win has been running that channel for the longest time.
So if you know Rob, you were there.
I'm pretty sure I have had some feel before back in, uh, probably noting him in about 1997.
I think it was the headshots go to the Galaxy fan club.
Or is it so shared with that?
Had there's sort of summer event and, uh,
those, they had all kind of things going on.
And I think I think it was some of that.
But I just not heard that term before.
There are a couple of active UK built cons as well as some more on the continent.
You hear that, Lee?
Yeah, that's interesting, actually.
We'll have to put that on the list.
Oh, look for it.
Actually, they've got one in January.
Or just in a million miles away.
I won't be there in January though.
You could go.
Yeah, I was just working at my house with Edmund and, like,
um, he might want to go with me.
Does that make it that?
Yeah.
He might be amused by that.
Yeah.
So they've got, they've got an article Tim Griffin appearing there.
Like, actually, I'm thinking this might be a different Tim Griffin.
Um, then the actor might be.
Tim Griffin is an educator in California.
Okay.
So he'd be the guy like Lee to be coming to the film, um, uh,
conference in, uh, Norwegian in, uh, in the UK in January.
Really likely he's gotten very popular a lot of cons wanting him.
I'm about to go offline here for a while.
I'm going to stay in the room.
I'll just mark myself mute.
Um, we're getting ready to, we, we, we have to go finish by
ancing of this car that we got that is already a problem.
Well, hopefully it all goes really smoothly and turns around for you while you're
out there.
Be safe out there.
Thank you.
Well, it's still trying to find Moss's band camp channel.
Moss and your link hold on.
Yeah.
I think I probably just missed it or something because I don't spell the,
I don't know if you got my note and tech and coffee, but I updated it for you.
You just need to put notes in because I've been kind of cypalist thing as I've
been trading.
Sorry.
But, um, my pace that it's singing in there.
Did you get that?
Oh, I see it now.
He posted it earlier, but I, I went ahead and just copy and paste it again.
Yeah.
When I searched it out, I found some really music that I'm not sure I listened to.
I came up a band called Mortice, M.O.R.T.I.I.S.
Mortice, I'm seeing this, uh, and the weech in band.
Doesn't, that doesn't sound very funky.
It's interesting.
Definitely not both.
I'm more than C.
I see Mortice, just enter the channel.
Hello, Mortice.
Good morning.
Good afternoon.
Is that archer?
This is.
And it's 10 21 in the morning and my time zone.
9 21 21 21 21.
And I'm being very lazy as well.
I see Claudio keeps me in and out.
I wonder if he's going to be available.
He's wondering if Claudio would join in the beer garden talks.
It might be interesting.
He's in Florida, I think.
Are you anywhere close to Miami?
I am closer to Georgia.
I'm pretty much on the Georgia border.
I'm right near Jack's beach.
So completely the other direction of Florida.
Okay, folks.
I'm going to head out for a little while.
I got some real-life stuff to do.
I'll be back later.
Okay.
Have a good to be alive.
Time for a different.
I don't know why that has to exist real life.
And in my virtual world should exist at the same time.
Precisely.
Don't worry.
I don't care.
I don't care.
I don't care.
I don't care anymore.
So I think people are talking a bit before about use net.
I've realized that anything I've put on use net.
I've at some point made a data protection request
which Google seems to honor in Europe.
So it doesn't appear in search results anymore.
Yeah.
I had not heard that.
But I leave it to Google to do that.
I'm sure that you are.
Empop.
Sorry.
Happy New Year's Eve, everyone.
Happy New Year's Eve, Claudio.
Happy New Year's Eve, Claudio.
Happy New Year's Eve, Claudio.
Is it already New Year by Morton C?
In Thailand?
Is it already New Year's Eve?
Is it already New Year's Eve?
Thailand?
It's 12 hours off.
So I think they have an hour and a half left.
Yeah.
I'm not there this year.
No.
No money.
And we're still waiting on immigration for her.
For her to go back before we can go back.
I'm Claudio.
How are you liking the beer garden episodes?
Oh, I'm enjoying them quite quite a bit.
Definitely enjoying them.
I still got a few of the...
Was it the Paulina Salvatore?
Those are really good.
I'm not a connoisseur myself, but I'd like to listen to one of those.
Yeah, I don't want to consider for myself a kind of sore.
You know, or an expert.
So I just enjoyed them.
I find what I see that looks interesting and I try it.
The last one I had was a china box.
I'm Texas.
Is that china?
It's what?
Is that a china box?
Yes, china box.
It's a Texas.
Yeah, I've had that one before.
It's pretty good.
It's all right.
The Paulina Salvatore that I was talking about is actually a double box.
If you ever get a chance to... if you're a find it, give it a try.
We have you looked at the Baofang nanny.
Do you have to be powered?
I think the two that I've got are just little handsets.
And they're the same one.
I didn't really look around.
I just went for the lowest common denominators on Amazon.
It seems to suit all the basic stuff, the different bands and things like Squelch and all that sort of thing.
I probably shouldn't have gotten it, but it's $23 on Amazon.
When you take off the battery, then you can connect a USB to a charger.
Yeah, I think that may well be the one that I've got or once it very similar.
Because yeah, I think it does charge with USB.
In fact, it doesn't have a battery as such.
Like a removable battery.
It's just chargeable through a charger.
Actually, if I'm thinking about it, it may not be your speech.
All right, I'm thinking now, it actually sits in a battery.
So it doesn't charge directly a USB.
It sits in a dock.
And that's how it charges, actually.
However, you five are in a eight something HP, I think.
And those both have a charger that you sit in.
Like a dark.
Yeah, actually, I'm going to refer back to the notes of my own episode.
Because I've actually known, I don't have the hand set in the drawer or something.
I can't find it.
But I should refer back to my note.
I've actually never transmitted, but I listen to the Noah channel.
Oh, what is the channel again?
462.
Yes, so I was in the episode recorded.
I was channeled like 433 roughly and make it.
Yes, so the one that I was looking at that I've got is a UV-5R.
That's pretty much what everybody starts off with.
And then my cousin and I gave me a HP, I think, something.
Okay, nice look a bit.
I don't slightly more have to.
A little bit bigger battery.
The features aren't any different.
I'm actually trying to dig in my bin and find out where I dropped that into.
I've been by my bed that's a black hole.
Yeah, I've got all sorts of draw.
Well, my main storage solution for like the last ten years has been these,
these boxes called really useful boxes.
And so I've got stuff separated into like electronics, like cables, internal PC parts,
and so on.
But the nice thing about the really useful boxes is they're just stackable.
So you should put one and took the other.
A good cheap storage solution is to have peanut butter jars.
They get the huge ones.
And then when they're empty, wash them out and put the electronic part on it.
All right, yeah, I think I got a few glass jokes.
So I do have like under my kitchen counter where the gas meter is just open that.
And I just whenever I've got an empty container, I just shove it in there.
And then if I need a container of some kind for something, that's my go to.
And coffee containers are good for that too.
Yeah, plus one for that.
I'm looking at a load of virus in a coffee container right now.
Instant coffee container.
Is there a good instant coffee?
I've gone far the other way from instant coffee to the extent I probably won't go near anymore.
I've been of been consuming ground coffee for about the last couple years.
And now I've gone to finally grinding the beans in a cheap device.
Do you roster wrong?
No, that's probably my next stage.
It's like I'm going along the continuum of from instant to express out.
And now I'm on roasted beans, but my next step will be when I get used to roasted beans.
We actually maybe try roasting them myself.
Instant coffee.
Instant coffee.
Incidentally, my wife had bought me a bird grinder because I had one of the other cheap spinning grinders.
So she bought me.
She bought it off Amazon's.
Oligran is the name of the brand.
So far so good.
Much better than what it was before with the other grinder.
You got married recently, Claudio.
Yes, I did.
Yes, September 20th got married.
And then we went on our honeymoon to Argentina,
Mendoza, Argentina specifically, the week after.
Congratulations.
Congratulations.
Congratulations.
Thank you very much.
Thanks, guys.
Yeah.
Wait, there are times of time.
I'm currently waiting on an immigration position.
See how that goes before I start announcing things to anyone.
But there's a small chance of things might happen on the high day, which is the 14th of March.
Well, that way you can't forget what data is.
Yeah, I think that started as a joke.
And in the cave Maria, it became a reality somehow, a booking reality.
I wish you all the best.
Hopefully everything works out.
So actually, I'm seeing these grinders get quite complex.
I mean, the one I've got is just a small cylinder with, uh,
just a motor and a blade at the bottom.
I think that's probably the one you're referring to early at the right tree.
Yeah, that was the one that I still have it.
I take it with me from when I travel.
But the one I exclusively use now is the verb one, the verb grinder.
It makes a big difference.
Yeah, I went to a coffee shop in there's a town in London called Kingston.
And on Monday, I went to a coffee shop and got some of the roasted beans I have there.
And the one I'm trying at the moment is this Ethiopian brand of beans.
And really has a strong flavour that I haven't really tasted in for like it before.
So not so much strong, more sort of pungent and flavorful, I guess.
But it's fun.
So I was used to, I used to like this need to get a new world order,
because plateau would become one of me.
Tell us all about what this different coffee is that you can try.
You know where old order also had a coffee break.
I used to like, yeah, I miss that show.
I think my favourite episode was the one where, um,
plateau mentioned that he discovered that coffee is not food.
That's kind of, that's the reason I didn't think of it.
So you're not supposed to eat the beans?
Well, don't, I hope he doesn't find out.
I think it's kind of, um, that you might,
I've been tempted just to try and live on coffee.
It's like, no, not eat any more.
Yeah, I don't know about that one though.
I don't know if anybody actually listened to the entirety of his last show.
That was amazing.
I actually sat through the whole thing.
I was like, why is this so long,
than more longer than usual?
And I went ahead and I sat through it.
It was, it was interesting.
Okay, I didn't actually listen to that.
So, um, no, now I'm going to put more of that.
Yes, I tend to do that.
Uh, when I see something that's unusually unusual, um,
yeah, I'll sit there and I'm like, why is this the way it is?
And yeah, it actually had some,
a bunch of Easter eggs there.
I think that's a good thing.
So links to the burger grinder.
Say again.
Do you have a link for the burger grinder?
I'm putting a show and something in the show notes.
Is that for the burger grinder?
That's for the etherpad.
No, no, I mean, what you were asking me about for the link?
The burger grinder.
Okay, yeah, I'll find it now.
I'll send it to you.
I'm not good at keeping up with the notes,
but trying to sit with my laptop,
and then I'm on mobile with the, um,
for the audio.
I've been in light soon meetings where they've had
an AI assistant listening and make notes.
And only quite good.
But then sometimes it's wildly natural.
I'm so on one of my meetings for work.
I have each week.
I'm not at their point at night.
I'm just typing the way as we're talking.
Arthur, I went ahead and I posted the link
from Amazon for the burger grinder.
Thanks.
I see that.
I don't think massive on those that were on stream here.
I was listening earlier through the stream.
It seems to be working.
Right.
But I don't think I posted on mass a couple of hours before.
And I don't know if anybody is noticed that over there.
Oh, I see.
Okay.
I was just trying to generate some interest.
A few minutes, I'll log in and repost it.
It's technical fees.
Oh, I tried dropped your links in there from the side chat.
You can just pretty them off if you don't want it.
Whatever.
I don't know.
Oh, it looks fine to me.
It doesn't have to be pretty.
Right.
We're tight over geeks.
I just put the announcement and massive on.
Yeah.
I'm about to do the same thing.
So I finally make good on my, uh,
my question on, on reading, whether mumble works on high coup.
Uh, still not sure.
So why I can't get it to work on open BSD.
I have a feeling it has something to do with the, with the server being open only.
Maybe that can be my next episode.
I don't think I've ever run BSD on mine hardware.
But I did end up with a virtual machine running it in the cloud.
Um, it was actually with the SDF, the, uh, the free shell people.
Super dimensional fortress.
Yeah.
Um, what happened was I had, uh, just a meta subscription with them.
Which is just one of their pay tears.
And I accidentally sent them 10 times the amount of Bitcoin I meant to.
And then rather than ask them, it back.
I just said, well, can you give me a virtual private server for a year with, uh, like,
the version of BSD on it?
I think I remember seeing that post on B board.
Okay.
Cool.
Yeah.
I mess around with net BSD on, uh, on a raspberry pie.
One model B, uh, for a good while.
That was when I was still my apartment.
Um, I had that one set up just to be able to remote in and into whatever.
So it did the job.
I think they are catching out with the drivers.
And it's like rock solid.
It's just a few.
It's behind.
Same mainstream Linux.
Well, I understand.
The only one that really comes close to, uh, to Linux in terms of hardware support.
I'd say it's free BSD.
Uh, open BSD and net BSD and all the other, uh, derivatives.
Uh, they, uh, I mean, unless they're based off of free BSD.
Uh, yeah, they, they don't support as much.
Although the support is pretty good.
I know an open BSD it is, uh,
especially Wi-Fi drivers, uh, they really work a lot on that.
And the thing I kind of liked was that you, in effect, you could build the whole operating system
from source, you know, like every single package you could build it.
And quite easily that was like a first, you know, primary feature and whereas I know,
like you've been to, you have source RPMs.
But I mean, sort of red hat source RPMs.
But that's not quite the same.
Are you referring to the port system?
Yeah, I think so. Yeah, isn't it ports that you, you're building from, you just,
it builds the stuff from source very easily.
And, and that's, uh, main, and that's like the proper way of doing things.
It's not just an ad on like the, like the AUR for arch.
It's just an ad on that you build from source.
And usually they, they, they recommend you use the binary packages,
especially on a free BSD.
Um, but you can build from ports if there's the special case that you need.
Um, I remember it's not an issue anymore because they managed to resolve it,
but on a FBSD whenever you went from one major version to another.
Um, and the, the DRM graphic strivers would cause an issue because you would end up with a blank screen.
If you, the, the problem being that, um,
the binary package was compiled for the, for the previous version.
And so that was a problem for a while until they finally,
uh, they finally managed to resolve that issue.
And the only way to resolve it was to build the, uh, the DRM drivers from ports.
Okay, that's interesting.
It was a bit of a pain, but it worked.
Um, you just had to know which steps to do.
And, uh, but now they've resolved that.
I've been playing around with Serenity Alice,
and that one you really do build the entire pricing system.
And if there's one single syntax that right in the entire pricing system,
or any of the applications, the entire thing doesn't build.
Yeah, remember Serenity, uh, but my, uh,
uh, I would say a couple of years ago, uh, looked very interesting.
Yeah, uh, I, I really like the YouTube figure.
So Andrew has cleaned it, especially in the early days.
Um, I'm sort of maybe a little less interested in the, uh,
I think it mainly is mainly now about the browser, the lady, but browser,
if they call it, uh, that they've created and the,
and the JavaScript engine for that, where, well, before it was,
it was a lot about, um, just the, your prime system and the applications.
Yeah, uh, if I'm not mistaken that the original developers now focusing on, uh,
Serenity itself, and the browser has splintered off into,
it's own thing with a different, with, uh, community.
Uh, but it might be the other way around.
I don't know exactly.
I'd have to look it up and right now I can't.
Okay, that makes sense.
All right. Yeah.
So that I was sort of seeing something about that before that lady bird is now
it's own separate thing that's actually an alternative web browser built from scratch,
kind of, which is quite quite an interesting thing to, for it to be.
And I think I think what I'm seeing is the original developer of Serenity is now.
He's now focusing entirely on the browser.
One, whereas the operating system is just maintain by people in the community.
Okay, got it. Yeah, I knew I had, I knew that happened,
but I just didn't remember on which project he was focusing on.
I think I had a book back in the other days about just the basics of the unix of pranks system.
Just the, the library and the system calls and it all seems smaller enough and simple enough.
You can almost understand the whole thing, which I don't think is kind of possible in our days.
Speaking of unix, I saw something recently that they were able to,
to restore and run a version of unix, a unix system for.
All right, so when I was, when I was studying,
we had like spark work stations.
I think they were running system five.
So I guess I never even thought like what came before system five,
but it must have been a system.
Was that the article about them finding it on tape?
Yes, it was.
I think it was at the register, although I think a bunch of,
well, I knew sites had positive about it.
All right, this was back in 1973 unix version four.
So they were discovered the only, um,
sent in July this year,
like at the University of Utah,
they discovered the only copy of this entire operating system,
the source code for it in C.
Yeah, unix V4, so not system four,
because I know that refers to something else.
That's why I had the double check.
Yeah, I have the article from the register.
I can post it in the chat.
Yeah, I remember when I was at high school,
going to local library and getting the kernel and richy book
about C, just trying to teach myself to program in C.
And it was all a bit unixy,
although probably didn't associate it entirely with things like Linux,
they went around.
Then, first of all,
if you're going to write an operating system now,
you'd probably do it in Rust,
like if you're just going to start from scratch.
Yeah, that seems to be the rage now,
everything in Rust.
But I was actually surprised,
there was an open source application,
I then I did,
and it was a complete mixture of C and Rust.
Like I, I wouldn't have,
I guess it's now Rust in the Linux kernel as well.
But I didn't know it was just common practice
that you could just intimate C and Rust together
or C++, I mean.
Yeah, I wasn't aware that was possible either.
I'm not going to have a programmer,
but you know, I'll follow along with certain things.
But that I did not know.
So all those programmers, all those coders out there,
no more than I do.
I'm doing the magic.
I mean,
I'm sort of discover magic apps
and my knowledge or my standard daily basis.
Yeah, I think,
you know,
I never becomes a mix,
really an expert, everything.
Okay,
I've just realized what I was referring to.
I think it was news about
which is an RSS browse or reader.
And I think that's both C and Rust.
I know that, Lee.
I use news, but I kind of,
I really like it because it's text based.
So I was actually tweaking it,
because I realized that unless I'm doing it wrong,
that when you go to an RSS feed,
it doesn't automatically,
has not madly downloaded it
until you press the R button that refreshes it.
And I just hacked it,
so that as soon as you hit the end,
go to the news feed.
If it hasn't refreshed it in the last day,
it would refresh it.
I put in a line that it refreshes it as soon as you open it in part boat.
Oh, that would be useful.
Yeah, I've got the code really quick to see what it does.
I went ahead and put in my post.
They're sharing the,
East PR New Year's Eve show.
Also,
talking of text based programs.
This one called EPR,
which is for reading ebooks,
folks,
I'm going to drop off for a little bit.
We're going to go ahead and have breakfast right now.
So if I don't connect,
I hope you all have a happy New Year.
I make connect later, but we'll see.
Happy New Year.
Good breakfast.
Thanks.
Bye-bye.
Happy New Year,
if I don't hear from your letter.
Likewise, aren't you?
And happy New Year to L.
I think it might be around that time,
or almost,
the more it ends the same for you.
Happy New Year to you.
Talk to you later.

I've liked changed KDA plasma to make it sort of tile-biced in a way.
I haven't had any tile-based UI either, but I installed it on a mini PC and on a laptop.
And I've been playing around with it. It's hard to get used to the keyboard shortcuts
and some dedicated time, but I enjoy it so far.
I think DHH was maybe also talking about VIM and learning the keyboard shortcuts for that.
And it's like, even he, I think he was kind of saying, even he finds it,
or found it like hard going to get all those keyboard shortcuts.
But once you've got them into your brain, into your fingers,
then it's a very efficient way of working.
I agree. I had a long time ago around 95.
My first computer, I'd problems with the wind modem conflicting with the comports.
So the mouse and something else, and I would lose my mouse.
And I had to figure out all the keyboard shortcuts to use a window back in the day.
I mean, probably a classic person's first exposed to VIM is to run it, to edit something,
and then think, oh, how do I exit?
And I'd just be hitting control C and control and escape and stuff.
And I think it's escape home on Q, exclamation mark.
But yeah, I've had that. Back when is it university?
And it kind of puts you off it for life, some for some people.
I, back in the day, that's all you could use with Linux,
and I used to mess up my installs.
I'd be configurating the XORQ file, and I would just trash my system,
because I didn't know how to save or undo or edit properly.
And I still push everybody to learn VI. I think it's wonderful.
There was a lecture tutorial program I was playing with a while back in Dick.
Like, teaches you, feel like, findings is a game.
I think it might have even been ground, browser-based.
Yeah, I've seen that. I thought you had a paperwork to learn anything but the basics.
Doesn't VIM have a tutorial to where you can learn it like that as a game.
Not really as a game, it's just one big file.
And as you read through it, it starts teaching you the up-down left-right keys.
And I've never gone through it very much.
I had a person I worked with who was struggling with, with UNIX,
an Oracle admin who had taken a VI class, and he could just fly around in VI,
and a week's change knowledge during lunch.
I was showing him all sorts of stuff in the terminal,
and he told me to write down a list of things I needed to do day-to-day.
Sorry about the noise.
Day-to-day, and I made a small list of what I needed to do to stop using everything else.
I was, and I switched immediately, and I haven't gone back.
I used it every day now.
What kind of MV would be able to do?
I think VI or VIM where I can do this is just easily do regular expression stuff.
Just without having to think about it.
Can you elaborate on that?
So almost you could do to search and replace with,
I get the feeling that you can do a search and replace with regular expressions.
Where, because I do that in sublime text,
but you have to go through the whole GUI of clicking on this mouse, click on that mouse.
Someone that I am guessing that my VIM has some sort of regular expression replies that
is easily accessible in the key findings.
So in command mode, to hit escape and do colon,
percent S slash, your search slash, your replace slash.
You can do those different values you can put afterwards.
I usually use GC for globally and confirm.
And I'll go through and confirm each replace is my normal workflow for what I'm working on.
Because I want to validate each replacement.
Yeah, and I've seen my supervisor work, I think, do that sort of thing.
And it's like, I just kind of end this.
But now you've explained it.
I probably can do it as well.
Because it sounds a lot like said, and I understand regular expressions.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
It's very close to to set.
Sometimes it gets complicated.
If you're trying to replace special characters like windows,
character, turn, or tabs, or adding tabs,
replacing something with tabs.
If anybody is interested, I would love to do something like live with people.
If to play around and learn more together.
Just throw in that out there.
That sounds like that would be quite good.
I mean, I wonder if someone like SDF,
the public units people will might have things like that or eventually.
Just thinking.
The floodcast has a GT server.
I had one.
I'd have to set mine back up.
My domain was taken.
But I could host something in GT.
You can screen share and call that.
Or just in the HBR room and record it and make sure out of it.
I've had varying experiences with trying to speak the code
that I've been doing in a podcast form, like without a visual form.
And I think sometimes it works with maybe if you've got a company notes.
And sometimes I think plateau, for example, does it very well when he's doing
a good new world order to be able to say quite well.
Like the other day, I realised that I kept saying,
high-fin high-fin as command line flags.
And it just made it a lot easier if I call them dash.
Dash or attack.
Attack, attack I hadn't even heard of.
But that's even shorter.
Yeah, there's a great Wikipedia article on punctuation.
And it shows you the proper names and alternative names for punctuation.
Like bang for exclamation.
Up to four for the hash sign or pound sign.
Things like that.
Okay, I'm now drooling over this Wikipedia article.
Just end up with a pages.au.
For slash Wikipedia, for slash punctuation.
Of all the different brackets that it's got.
I was just pasting that in the chat.
Did I ever read it out for you?
I did a keyboard for an iOS keyboard once, which is stuck up on the app store.
And it just let you replace have a keyboard and just choose any keys you like.
So you could just make different symbols and stuff.
Or you could use just fancy lettering that isn't really meant to be that lettering.
So you could just type stuff out that looks weird, but kind of is reasonable.
My wife is using Linux exclusively.
And she's listening to a Thai teacher teach Linux command line.
And she, the instructor, kept calling the tilde.
The worm.
He kept asking the class of anybody knew the real name for the tilde.
That's pretty funny.
I've just seen there's a Mongolian ellipsis that's four dots rather than three.
You said you assume?
Sorry.
Did you say you assume there's a Mongolian ellipsis?
I saw, I saw, I saw, I just saw in the article.
There's a four doted ellipsis that's the Mongolian ellipsis.
So it's like the normal ellipsis is three dots.
And this one has got four dots.
I was unsure if there was an inside joke.
But if you read it on the page, that makes sense.
It's now getting dark here in there.
It's four or four in the afternoon here in London.
So I realized I've still got a bit of work to do today.
So I've set today as this week as a work week as it were.
So I should probably get on with that, but I'll probably keep listening.
If you want to do a VI stuff, let me know.
I'm still a bottom-level beginner, but I am a day-to-day user.
If you want to reach out here or on the podcast.
Okay, that'll be great.
So if you've got a handle on hack, probably right there as a host.
I am more than seen everywhere.
Everywhere, okay.
I don't know.
Okay, thanks.
All right, have a good one.
Just list a couple things that you're trying to do that would switch you day-to-day.
And I'll help out if I don't know.
I'll figure it out.
Thank you.
Hopefully I'll talk to you later.
Bye.
More than two, you'll be happy to know I'm a seasoned beginner.
These are beginner.
They're all around.
Yeah, I know the way I'm around.
And that's what I can't do anything extreme.
The edit, the replace, function search and replace,
was the biggest bump in my skill after just simple opening clothes.
I can't get a handle on the switch and replace when you're using a slash,
a backslash.
Or a slash.
Oh, you posted it up.
Do you mean the escape characters?
Yeah.
Yeah, I always want to go to edit replace.
I'm like a directory.
Like a several deep directory.
You just doesn't work out.
I don't know if you heard, but several directories in a row.
If I try to escape them, I doesn't work.
Give me like several like a full path.
Yes, my given name is Mark.
So if I do home slash marks, slash something at type of directory.
And I try to escape it.
I just kind of muddle it up a little bit.
So it's easier just to press W until I get to the right way.
I get to the right word in the line.
All right, sure.
I think I'm, I would consider myself the same thing as season beginner.
I used, I used VI or Vim, depending on whatever the OS has installed.
I use it for taking notes on Sundays when I do the chat hosting for church.
And just for taking notes also, everyone's in a while at work.
When we have our meetings.
If I'm not using that, I'm using pluma on matte.
But most of the time, it's just VI.
Pluma is a gooey text editor.
Say again.
Pluma is a text editor.
It's gooey or something.
Yeah, pluma is the text editor's turf for the matte desktop.
It's what, what used to be called G at it in Gnome 2.
I think it E1 that I, I don't know why I started using it once a while, is K, K, ATE.
Yeah, I've used that one too, because I've been playing around more with Plasma 6,
which is very nice. I have Plasma 6 running on my fedora laptop now.
Matte got moved out of a way, because Plasma has gotten good enough for me.
Though I still use Matte, it hasn't completely gone away.
But on Fedora, I'm sticking with the KD version.
I tasted in the chat what I think will work for replacing like home slash mark with a bar
I don't know the exact sample.
But each forward slash, you would escape with a back slash inside of the forward slash for the searcher.
Oh, I see.
And just maybe missed one slash over the escapes.
Fun fact, if you're ever on SDF and you, and you run the, the commode, the chat program on SDF,
also known as comm, you can back slash the, the back slashes.
You, you actually have to, in order for it to display.
I do, I do have a paid SDF account. I should get into that again.
Yeah, would be good to see you in there in, in comm.
I think everybody should have at least the 36 dollar account for life.
If they're still doing that.
I think they are someone validated me, but I do want to go for the lifetime membership.
Does anybody use Firefox plugins for them?
Because I can't seem to get away from not using that.
It just makes it so comfortable.
I haven't.
I think, uh, who is it, uh, on August, August planet, IRC channel.
Hint it.
Hint body.
Uh, who's uh, that's, he's one of the users that's on there.
I think he uses that for Firefox.
I think it's called Vimium, and I think it can be on Chrome too.
I just modify, um, couple of keys to where they go through the tabs differently.
Yeah, it's Vimium for Firefox as well.
Okay.
And I'm, I'm also a tab hog, so I use tab stash for Firefox.
Or recently I've been using call, it's called a Zen browser.
You have to probably put it in opt or one of those to, it's not your normal place to put programs.
I think it's an app image.
If Geospart is listening, he was on that show me this.
I'm sorry.
What did I show somebody?
You pointed me to the Zen browser.
Zen is awesome.
It's my main trading browser.
I was using Vivaldi, and I still use Vivaldi for some things, but I'm not a fan of Chrome the
and Chrome based things anymore.
No, I do not like Chrome at all.
If I can get away from it.
There's one major issue I have for Zen, and that's if I'm using Thunderbird,
and I click the link, and it opens up Zen.
Sometimes if I have a lot of tabs open, it'll crash the live and crap out of it.
Then I have to close it, reopen it, and then maybe it won't work.
And then if Zen crashes, tabs you've ever had open for three months of or show up.
Oh, yeah, anything, anything.
It saves things pretty well.
Then I saved a little folder of things where I drop, like, I have a financial one where it has all my trading stuff.
So, like, Bah-ha, and E-trade, and, you know, Wall Street Journal financial time stuff like that.
You might want to put this in a show, and it's worth talking about Zen browser.
I'm headed there now.
So, I camped us out using Tekken Coffee, and my own account on Amazon.
So, I camped us out on Amazon using my own account, and the Tekken Coffee account.
As well as, unfortunately, I had to go along back in the Facebook about a month ago because my community only does things on Facebook now.
So, I reposted back on Facebook. Totally despise and hate and want to murder Facebook.
There we go.
I haven't used Facebook over 10 years except for messaging.
I use it mainly.
My only, sorry.
My only exposure to Facebook is when I look at my wife's feed, and I realize how glad I am not to have a Facebook account.
I have a Facebook only for, like I said, the messaging, and then once in a while, I'll try out Marketplace, but I haven't been able to sell anything on there.
I personally would avoid Facebook Marketplace like the plague.
I've heard of a lot of scams happening through there.
Is there a better place to sell things locally?
I used to Etsy a lot. I bought Bible, Tekken, and stuff, and repair it.
Clean markets, I go to a lot of flea markets.
That's what it is.
We wanted to do this good flea markets.
I haven't looked to see if there is a market in Kentucky.
They will rip you off, by the way.
So, you just haggle the price, like you were in a market in some other country.
And just basically haggle the living crap out of the price.
God, with the price in your hand, say that's what I'm willing to pay for this.
And if you're good in the experience at fixing electronics, sometimes you can find some good deals.
Oh, shop good one. If you're going to stay, shop good well.com.
I buy a lot of stuff on there, and then repair it.
I must say though, I got ripped off once in Etsy, but Etsy made good,
and they added 35 extra dollars to the credit they gave me for what I didn't get.
I think the trick is, you can't ask for a credit card refund.
All I do is ask for a credit refund, and then they add more money to it.
So, the show notes page is slightly hellish because,
okay, that show notes page is slightly heckish when two people are typing it.
You're as smart as you get to see where to get UTC live.
I'm so stuck to go in it, placed it up dates.
Wait a second, my second.
I'm sorry to get what live.
UTC time.
Oh, it makes everyone else better.
My bowfang menu is arriving anywhere between now and 245 today.
It's the one that Lee and I talked about there.
You pull the battery off, and it's powered by USB-C to charge it.
Awesome.
Yeah, I just have the basic bowfang or V5, what it really is.
It's okay for what I use it for, which is pretty much FRS,
and basically using it as a cheap-o-scan,
or even though I have a couple of units and radio-shanks in here today.
I picked up a unit in, and it was a really basic and really chunky,
but it was just so I could get a CB just in case of an emergency.
I only picked it up for $18.
I keep forgetting you could use these as CB's too.
I should probably program them.
I did program it when I got it.
I bought the cable as well, and I did program it,
but I don't remember what I did.
That's it's been like two years.
How do you use it as a CB?
I never tried that.
Yeah, there's cool ways of programming.
The cable is cheap-o.
I think I got the cable on Ali Express for,
I don't know, five bucks or something,
something the cable is pretty cheap.
I had a couple of mics that fit it.
Radio-shak branded mics that will work with it.
I'll put the two plugs.
I ended up buying one of the bowfang mics just the test and it's seen.
I mean, I don't know which did both work about the same.
They look like they were made by the same company,
just once as radio-shak.
I've had these for a couple of years.
Five R, and the cousin gave me the 8-HP,
and I still don't know how to program it.
Yeah, I forgot the software I used,
but there was a software that,
but why did somebody else on YouTube or something program it?
So I took the notes and I kind of did it myself,
saved it off on the side.
I saved it as like a CSV or something.
It's on my server, right?
I backed up everything.
So it's on my backup server side.
That's probably got these extensive notes on how I did it,
but I'm ancient.
So if I didn't do it yesterday,
I have no clue how I did it, like two years ago.
No, I'm the same. I have a lot of notes.
You're not that, I think we're close to the same age.
I was born in 1972.
I was born in 1963.
That's not that old yet.
Now, I'm the youngest of the old people I hang out with
in Panera in the morning.
So there's a bunch of them that are,
one's turning 70 today, and then,
one's 79.
I'm like the youngest out of the mall,
and I just keep calling them old men just because
I guess that page is good until somebody defunds this.
Speaking of out for delivery,
a bunch of my hardwino boards are now out for delivery,
so I can do more things.
I'm using our Arduino on quite a while,
but I do have a handful.
Yeah, I'm just playing with them.
I've been using the Raspberry Pi development boards for a bit,
and I like those too.
The little $56 thing you should buy online,
but I don't know.
I decided I needed to figure out how to start doing that.
Some time ago, I automated Christmas tree lights on
on each gear episode.
Oh, that's awesome.
Yeah, no.
I'm not that sophisticated yet.
I'm probably, I'm looking at,
I haven't bunch of these Arduino STRs
that I bought a different style.
So I'm thinking about kind of making my own.
I bought some screens and stuff,
so, you know, too much shopping on alley express, I think.
I don't know, which is worse.
That is Amazon.
Yeah, Amazon's pretty bad too.
I'm about to, I think I'm about to can.
I've had prime since they were like $79 a month,
so I'm about ready to kill prime, I think.
Because I don't use it that often.
I don't even watch the videos that I'm also going to make
up my own flexor because I wish you that.
But, I mean, I just, I don't know.
Well, I send my orders,
and it's probably about two months ago from them too.
Well, you know, I just ordered something from them,
and I don't know order that often,
but still have them.
Yeah.
When I get set up, that's flexor over and out.
Okay.
Yeah, tell me about the flexor for me.
Oh, I don't know.
It was very funny.
I'm using that HP600 that I put in the notes.
That's cool.
I've just got some cheapo,
I don't know, $80 knock.
I found somewhere.
It's not a knock.
It's like, I call them at FEC,
but, you know, I don't know anything else.
But I, I call them the cheapo of knocks, really.
And I've been using those for different things around the house,
but my last, my last server, right?
It's just...
You keep cutting out.
Just, but I don't know if it's my phone,
or you, I keep cutting out.
And GSART.
How do you...
I wasn't, we know in the news.
I thought I'd do it in the news a few weeks ago.
Maybe.
I mean, it's always in techniques,
but I don't know what it would've been normal ones.
I don't know.
I think it was something about how they did something with the code.
I don't know when they'd prank these authentic Arduino's,
and then knock off.
Of course, my SDRs are using some sort of knock-off Arduino,
and they work just fine.
So...
I was starting this set up on SDR with my Raspberry Pi.
I didn't get very far.
Yeah, these are the little ATS 20s,
and I got the upstairs.
I got the bigger one.
ATS.
Whatever it is, the bigger one.
And I mean, they weren't fine.
I've taken them apart.
They got little Arduino looking things on them.
I'm afraid to change them out for an authentic one,
but, you know, they work.
I'm not going to change them.
Yeah, you can get ATS 20s relatively inexpensive.
The 20 pluses and stuff, they're pretty dang cheap now.
So they were, and the new isn't it,
says a Qualcomm bot Arduino.
Almost was hired by Qualcomm.
Somewhere in New Jersey.
Many years ago.
And they had brought me to their offices in New Jersey
to talk to them.
I think I'm trying.
I'm not sure where.
And then, they hired me.
Man, hand shakes and everything.
I kind of walked out of the building.
I was about ready to give notice.
I was working at Computer Associates at the time.
It's about ready to give notice.
And then I get a call.
It's like, oh, hiring's on hold.
You didn't give notice or anything.
And, you know, I was about to.
I was within a day of giving notice to, uh, to C.A.
So I'm glad I didn't.
I wonder, Scody is going to stop by with his tiny human.
Probably all of Scammers anyways,
but I'm going to force them to talk to the tech and coffee
if they want to continue to.
Hey, how's everybody doing?
I posted a DIY or do we know in the chat.
Years ago, when our do we know is really expensive.
I built my own.
Oh, cool.
I say it over there.
Even.
Even.
I don't think that's the, uh,
the one, the instructions I followed.
But, uh, I did several, including a, uh,
USB hack do we know?
Um, I think, uh,
think geek, soul, soul them as a project I could be wrong.
Um, it could have been, I think there's an evil scientist site also,
but, uh, I used to go to Nata Khan,
which was a hacker convention in Cleveland,
that Jason Smith used to go to before,
the internet, before we move in or network up.
And, uh, every year they had badges that you saw to yourself.
And that was your entry was buying the the circuit board in parts. And one year they had a USB
hack do we know but it was shaped like a T for not not a con. And a the like a capital T and the top of it was your breadboard to do a project with the USB
Arduino. So just plugged right in. I assume this is the precursor to the bash bunny hacking. Hi, Lovecraft!
