To go along with all my other monitoring equipment.
I'm just invited big brother into my house.
Enjoy what he is and for audio these days.
What do you mean?
Uh, I've discovered a, uh, your, um, sound core, your piece.
And I actually has a mic too and I, it does decent on phone calls.
Oh, um, what I'm using right now is the, um,
Arctic steel series, um, the 9x.
I really, I, I like the headset.
It sounds good.
You can get them relatively cheap.
Um, but, um, like the entire steel series line has a problem with, uh,
plastic breaking right where the connection is on the headset to the, the, the band.
But, um, the nice thing about it is with a 3D printer.
I can, you know, completely redo the shells.
And what I found is that it works really well with the new shell.
So, I have, I have, uh, three of them that I'm using right now.
And then I'm also, I also rotate with, um,
I got my Razor Nari Ultimate's working, well, two of the three of those.
I got working again, so I've been using those as well on a regular basis.
Um, and, um, I still have the, um, my son and I like to use, um,
the Skull Candy crushers, um, when we go to the gym.
So I keep a couple of those in rotation and working.
But the nice thing with the, the arc disk, um,
steel series that the 9x is, is that I can,
with the xbox adapter.
I can hook to my phone and to my computer at the same time.
But because it requires the xbox adapter,
I cannot use the, the 9x on my work computer.
So I will have to switch over to the, um, the Nari for work calls,
because they only do through the computer now.
I'm going to call out to your phone.
Yeah, I'm a little surrounded by headphones.
That good.
I like working on headphones.
So it's, I consider it a good thing.
I mean, if I look right now, I have, um,
other than the ones I mentioned, um,
I've got a wired audio,
like a M50x that's slightly modified to have, um,
a different angle of cup.
So it squeezes the head a little bit better.
And also I have 3D printed the hinge fixes for those
because the hinges break so easy.
And then I have, um,
a knockoff of the HyperX cloud that, um,
the mic isn't as good as some of the other ones,
so I don't use it as often.
And then I tried getting, you know, a, a standard like work headset
that would connect to both my phone and my work laptop, um,
and what's weird about this plan,
electronics headset that I have is that it will do that on a Linux machine.
But then if I hook it up to a Windows machine,
it won't read the microphone.
It doesn't see the microphone,
which makes it kinda useless.
But it's a decent enough headset.
So I keep it as a backup.
Actually right now, I got to find the USB dongle for it.
But it should be here somewhere.
And that's really it.
Oh well, um, I have a bunch of broken, um,
the Skull Candy Hesh 3s
that I need to do various fixes for that my daughters
really like using the Hesh 3s.
So, and those that the yokes tend to break on them really easy,
but those are also easy to 3d print.
And I guess with the crushers, the hinges break on those
really easy as well.
And I've had to print out a crap ton of hinges for those.
But it keeps me printing on the 3d printer.
I don't have any room for a 3d printer here.
I just live in a trailer.
I've lived in a trailer before too.

It's cozy.
This is there.
Yeah, my little, I have my little space set out,
and I just stay with my computer on a bed.
But she's got room for a microwave.
You got room for a 3d printer.
It depends on the size of the microwave.
A big of a space do you need?
But two foot by two foot.
And then maybe maybe two and a half feet tall.
Just looking at my, um, centauric carbon right now.
I mean, they make smaller 3d printers.
Or other budget ones like for the 3d printing.
Well, that depends on what you're calling budget,
honestly, because a lot of people would consider the
elegous, centauric carbon to be a budget
corrects why printer.
But it runs between $250 and $300.
Um, an awful, is it?
No, that's actually a really good price.
But like I said, it depends on what you call budget.
Um, you can still get the the Ender 3 series for around that same price range.
But you're getting more with the elegous centauric carbon
because it has an enclosure and we'll print higher
temp things and we'll print a much faster than the Ender.
But, um, I mean, you can get on to Ali Express.
And I've seen people buy like $70 printers
that, you know, they make a product.
And with tuning and, you know, if you can keep ahead of everything on it,
then it doesn't do terribly.
It's just, you know, they make better ones.
Uh, so I remember right, um,
there's an STL or not an STL, but G code that comes with the centauric carbon.
Uh, that will do a really nice benchy in about 15 minutes.
What's that?
It's a benchy.
It's basically the term.
It's, you've never heard of a benchy.
Uh, it's a little bit.
It's a little bit.
It's a little, um, boat that tests your printer.
And, um, there's various parts of it that, like,
overhangs and, um, it's a bridging and, um,
lettering on the bottom and just different things that will tell you,
uh, if there's anything that needs calibrated on your printer.
Oh.
Okay, now you say that I, I think I've seen that.
Yeah.
It's still what I was called.
It's a cool little print.
It's usually people's first print.
Although my first print was, um,
Yoda.
It was a Yoda head.
On the model price, uh,
makers select V2, which was my first printer.
And then my second printer was the Ender 3v2.
And then now I have the Elagusentari Carbon.
And I think I'm going to end up,
it, he would already have it.
My son would already have my Ender 3v2.
If he could actually, like, clean his room.
And I guess that's too much to ask.
You had a kid to clean the room?

I remember trying to get my kid to clean his room.
Yeah.
If mine could get his clean and, like, keep it clean,
he would have a 3D printer in there.
Maybe because he, he tends to go stay at my dad's for the summer.

I have an HP 600 something that many people see that I put.
One terabyte NVMe drive in and also put the same type of drive in my laptop to upgrade it.
I also have an HP project.
I've been working on there.
Mine is not a mini piece.
It is in fact a mini computer.
If you understand the difference.

A mini computer is.
It's smaller than the mainframe, but it's got mainframe like properties.
In this case, it's got three CPUs.
And it has eight megabytes of RAM.
And it's a giant beast from the mid 80s.

But I think I understand what's going on.
It was like an interesting project.
That's an HP 9000 series 550.
If I get it working, it might be the only working example in the world.
Maybe I've got it.
So it gets to the point where it wants to load an OS.
And I'm trying to emulate the disk and have it quite got that part worked out yet.
But once I get that part working, then I'll be pretty greedy.
And then I got to figure out what to do with it.
Because it didn't make a waste of RAM.

Social security is not covered two people in my wife's.

I let her handle the finances, but it's 14 something a month.
So we need a lot more money than that.

Well, my mother passed away almost five years ago and we have a five year grant from her.
Uh, that every month we get a certain amount of money, which is more than I've ever made in my life.
But still not really that great.
We can get all the things we always wanted, but um, we can't really keep anything in savings
because the things we want break down and we have to pay for that.
And it expires in June, June is our last payment.
Well, hopefully something will come through for you between now and then.
The idea of my wife moving down here was that she was going to work.
And I was going to more or less pick up things on the side and it hasn't happened.
She has not been healthy enough to work.
Oh, that's unfortunate.
I'm sorry to hear that.

I think I've got pod cast addict right now.
I was on pod cast addict for a long while.
And it, it goes well with when you're on a rental car and you're using the Google system.
But I want to use antenna pad too.
I just got switched before between the two.
I used antenna pod in the beginning.
But once I started using pod cast addict, I stopped using it.
I can't handle multiple streams, you know.
It's understandable.
Just use what works for you.

I'm assuming it's stock market where you set it up.
That if it goes over this, then you sell it and it goes under that you buy.

I'm just looking at what I'm looking at fires.
I was right now because the dow is down.
But yeah, I'm just looking what I'm willing to pay for certain stocks.
And then I set a limit to end of day, which is we have a full stock market.

Right now this is a day like this.
I would normally buy instead of sell also.
Yeah, this has been a rough year for me.
I've cut way back on what stocks I still have.
I'm going for one that is not going to pay off for at least several years.
And another one that's going to pay off really big in several years.

and I'm I'm only down to four stocks.
Stupid Robin Hood went and gave me a crypto.
I didn't want and I'm waiting for it to go up.
So I can sell it and put it into one I do.
Yeah, it despises Robin Hood.
But this is me.
I do have a Robin Hood account.
But they have a classic terminal look now.
But I've been using E-Trade for years before that.
It was share builders.
And then it was ING financial.
I think.
And then that got sold to E-Trade.
So I guess I've only trade since 2000.
The 4ish 5ish.
Robin Hood is trying to get everyone interested in them.
They're doing these big giveaways over the holidays.
And they're big giveaway got me $2.19 worth of dough,
which I do not want.
Everyone wants dough.
Actually, that's one of the few.
Because it's based I think it's based off Ethereum.
I'm not that much in a crypto.
And crypto is garbage right now.
Because it's losing every one money.
But I follow it just to just to know.
But those I think it's based off Ethereum.
If I was going to trade anything would be Ethereum stuff.
I have a lot of crypto, but not like crazy amount.
Yeah, the only crypto I have in want is Pengu.
Because it's, you know, Pengu.
Pudgy penguin.
And I don't care whether it goes up and down.
I don't have more than 30 bucks in it anyhow.
If it goes way up, great.
If it goes down, I can just sit on it.
Someone out there made it big off of a hard drive
that I disposed of an unintentionally long time ago.
Right now all I have is a little bit of stellar.
And even that's probably not worth anything.

I have to drive like 17 minutes just to get to a Walmart or grocery store.
It's a small town life.

A Walmart neighborhood market, which is only four tens of a mile from us.

Our town only has a bank.
A beauty salon that's never open.
A bar that's always open and a wood fire pizza place.
Interesting fact about Walmart that they switched from nice to nice.
That recently.
Well, the last month and a half.
Sam Walton would be rolling in his grave right now with what his kids have done with that place.
Well, at least haven't been revocos.
He has a finger.
Hey, one of the female Walton airs has turned liberal.
Well, after she got away with killing someone.
I guess that would be the way she'd go home.
I'm not an issue with liberals or anything.
I just she got away with some stuff.
I wasn't aware of that.
I spent 28 years of my adult life in Oklahoma.
So the talk about Walmart was big then.
Yeah, I generally am anti Walmart, but after so long of being broke.
You don't have too many other choices.

That's why that's the only reason I still shop at Walmart.
And even then I try and go to Aldi when I can.
I refer to it as Voldemort.

I got that from 11 year old girl about 15 years ago.

I know an open BSD it is, uh,

from source, you know, like every single package you could build it.
And quite easily that was like a first, you know, primary feature and whereas I know,
like you've been to, you have source RPMs.
But I mean, sort of red hat source RPMs.
But that's not quite the same.

Yeah, I think so. Yeah, isn't it ports that you, you're building from, you just,
it builds the stuff from source very easily.
And, and that's, uh, main, and that's like the proper way of doing things.
It's not just an ad on like the, like the AUR for arch.
It's just an ad on that you build from source.
And usually they, they, they recommend you use the binary packages,
especially on a free BSD.
Um, but you can build from ports if there's the special case that you need.
Um, I remember it's not an issue anymore because they managed to resolve it,
but on a FBSD whenever you went from one major version to another.
Um, and the, the DRM graphic strivers would cause an issue because you would end up with a blank screen.
If you, the, the problem being that, um,
the binary package was compiled for the, for the previous version.
And so that was a problem for a while until they finally,
uh, they finally managed to resolve that issue.
And the only way to resolve it was to build the, uh, the DRM drivers from ports.
Okay, that's interesting.
It was a bit of a pain, but it worked.
Um, you just had to know which steps to do.
And, uh, but now they've resolved that.
I've been playing around with Serenity Alice,
and that one you really do build the entire pricing system.
And if there's one single syntax that right in the entire pricing system,
or any of the applications, the entire thing doesn't build.
Yeah, remember Serenity, uh, but my, uh,
uh, I would say a couple of years ago, uh, looked very interesting.

One, whereas the operating system is just maintain by people in the community.

I've liked changed KDA plasma to make it sort of tile-biced in a way.
I haven't had any tile-based UI either, but I installed it on a mini PC and on a laptop.
And I've been playing around with it. It's hard to get used to the keyboard shortcuts

My first computer, I'd problems with the wind modem conflicting with the comports.
So the mouse and something else, and I would lose my mouse.
And I had to figure out all the keyboard shortcuts to use a window back in the day.

and then think, oh, how do I exit?
And I'd just be hitting control C and control and escape and stuff.

I, back in the day, that's all you could use with Linux,
and I used to mess up my installs.
I'd be configurating the XORQ file, and I would just trash my system,
because I didn't know how to save or undo or edit properly.
And I still push everybody to learn VI. I think it's wonderful.
There was a lecture tutorial program I was playing with a while back in Dick.
Like, teaches you, feel like, findings is a game.
I think it might have even been ground, browser-based.
Yeah, I've seen that. I thought you had a paperwork to learn anything but the basics.
Doesn't VIM have a tutorial to where you can learn it like that as a game.
Not really as a game, it's just one big file.

So in command mode, to hit escape and do colon,
percent S slash, your search slash, your replace slash.
You can do those different values you can put afterwards.
I usually use GC for globally and confirm.
And I'll go through and confirm each replace is my normal workflow for what I'm working on.

I was starting this set up on SDR with my Raspberry Pi.
I didn't get very far.
Yeah, these are the little ATS 20s,
and I got the upstairs.
I got the bigger one.
ATS.
Whatever it is, the bigger one.
And I mean, they weren't fine.
I've taken them apart.
They got little Arduino looking things on them.
I'm afraid to change them out for an authentic one,
but, you know, they work.
I'm not going to change them.
Yeah, you can get ATS 20s relatively inexpensive.
The 20 pluses and stuff, they're pretty dang cheap now.
So they were, and the new isn't it,
says a Qualcomm bot Arduino.
Almost was hired by Qualcomm.
Somewhere in New Jersey.

I built my own.

And, uh, every year they had badges that you saw to yourself.
And that was your entry was buying the the circuit board in parts. And one year they had a USB
hack do we know but it was shaped like a T for not not a con. And a the like a capital T and the top of it was your breadboard to do a project with the USB
Arduino. So just plugged right in. I assume this is the precursor to the bash bunny hacking. Hi, Lovecraft!
