This is Hacker Public Radio Episode 4642, for 2026-05-19
Today's show is entitled, "Hackerpublic Radio New Years Eve Show 2026 Episode 7"
The host is Honkeymagoo and the duration is 02:12:04
The flag is Explicit, and the license is CC-BY-SA
The summary is "the hpr community comes together to converse"
Now, the question is, why is that not found on the server?
This is following you on from posting a show and it's on the CD content distribution network.
But, so I have 200 from all the nodes on the network,
but it's not on the HBR website because I didn't regenerate HBR website.
That only gets a little bit of every three hours, but it's on my list to fix that and have it
done based on the RSS feed, which regenerates it, based on a change to the gateholder
repository, which is another thing that you trigger it and the final one should be,
it should run once a day at midnight anyway.
So, you've got multiple honey do lists, one is HBR and one is from the
Unlady or the ladies in your, in your family.
Yeah, I do a deed. You can add to my HBR list like opening your tickets.
Well, I have to sit down and configure a new PF sensor router to replace the useless
rick did Verizon sent me. I mean, sounds like a good tool right there.
Well, I'm planning on giving myself more than a standard slash 24, maybe a slash 22 or something,
and dividing it up into individual slash logical slash 24, so I don't,
but I'm not going to physically split the network because I like the idea of, well, I'm one person
and a flat network plan. I'm not really, the firewall is basically to secure the entire house network
and do rather minimal routing within the house.
Okay, I'll be interested in hearing a show about that to be honest,
particularly PF sensor, I'm having a lot of experience with it.
Now, when you get this all set up, are you going to put in Wi-Fi at all?
I will have to see. I'm also going to have to see whether
it would be better for me to use Wi-Fi off of the desktop or something
that can be quickly disabled rather than, although it probably would be a good idea to have Wi-Fi
have a guest Wi-Fi and anyway for some applications.
Yeah, I mean, you could set it up and give it very, very limited access, basically just access to
the internet and then you can, you still have that tablet that your brother gave you, right?
It is here. I also have a Chromebook that could benefit from that.
Although I do have a Chromebook compatible under MIPS USB Nick, what I'm thinking is that I will
probably get a modern USB Wi-Fi base station or what have you and hang it off of one of the two,
or the second USB 3 port on my router or on my router machine.
The router machine that I'm going to be running is a AMD 140. I think it's a quad core
that runs around the gigahertz to 1.2 gigahertz and it's a
it's an APU machine, I think, that is to say it's part of their very basic graphics and
CPU on the same chip. More than see gave me a couple of these little bricks
one of which I'm going to make into a desktop just to see how it performs
with a very lightweight system like XFCE on it or perhaps Trinity and then
the other one I'm going to be using for my router since the if unit has something
the CPU's like it. Eight what? TPU so it should be just enough to fire all my system
and the energy you should be a little bit better than my 35 watt one liter router which I
which I'm replacing. Yep so you can put do you have like a USB Nick that you can use for the
Chromebook? As you talk about setting up some of these other machines as servers that would work
really well as a client machine plus then you also have to make the decision whether you want to
keep Chrome OS on it or put one of the other Linux variants on it. Thank you have to still do one
that ones that are geared towards the Chromebook because the Chromebook has such a specific hardware.
I picked up a Chromebook for like 40 bucks on eBay and as like just just straight going on to the
internet and using it for SSH it is worked really well. I have yet to put something else on it
besides just the regular Chrome OS. I figure at some point I'm probably going to have to because
it's an older Chromebook and I'm not sure how long it's still going to get updates. But for
right now I've been happy with just using it as that. It's got a touch screen too so that's
worked out because I've been using I want to learn on shape but I'm still using Tinker CAD but
being able to move the screen around and stuff by touching the screen is kind of nice.
I have a really really old Chromebook that I have replaced even the firmware on the bus to keyboard,
keyboard is so terrible just not having the full F12 keys is just frustration.
Well I can give you a pointer to a replacement for Chrome OS or whatever they're calling it this week.
Yeah well um there is something called thorium OS which is based on the thorium
pork of Chrome Chromium actually and that might be a way of getting around Google's timing out older
true Chrome OS systems and both of those reserves have been posted. Sorry I've been slightly
absent but listening getting ready for this birthday swara. Are you hosting it?
So again I'm going to give you a slight suggestion about tech and coffee. You might want to mute
all notifications only because I sometimes fall asleep and there's like 300 messages when I wake up
and there's only like 70s of my people in narrative. It is a smaging busy all right but that's fine.
Well also because Rose talks everyone too. The best thing I normally do I met this mistake once
it was just a barge and it started talking and still going and chill for a while see what the
mood is like and then I have all notifications of everything turned off everywhere on everything
I don't need to somebody needs me urgently they can pick up the phone and contact me.
And with the end that of course then my coffee club in the morning sometimes like well are you
I need help coffee club in the morning. Oh well I walk when I go to walk I end up at Panera.
So be part of the pandemic I use to end up at either I hop or
awful house otherwise known as waffle house in reality and get a coffee around 5-6 in
morning. Pandemic put a stop to those restaurants opening up full time at those times so
Panera was always open so I joined what they call the Panera Coffee Club it's like $120 a year
but it's unlimited coffee. So I just walk in give my number and they handed me a coffee.
So but then there's about 4 or 5 of us that just started hanging out in there at 5.36 o'clock in
a nice social interaction. Exactly even though most of them have different political views in me but we won't get into that.
That's absolutely cool. Oh I got got an interesting better news about Panera.
The wise people in the California legislature have said that a lot of fast food places are going
to have to pay from their minimum wage of 16 and a quarter or they're about to 20 bucks.
Except one there's a there's a carefully curated list of outfits which are
exempt from this new law and Panera I believe is one of them. I believe it's
the result of something like $200,000 given to certain
August government officials in California for their campaigns
Funny how that works. It's called the gift. Yes and and I suspect in an outburger is going to be more
out than in with this new expense. I've certainly seen the lady who's the head who's moving to
Tennessee and the was California going away it is I suspected that the internet burger may
well find virtually any any area outside of California to be more hospitable to their business
and more profitable. Yeah when I looked in California you dropped out at least for me. They got them
tempted to record the community news today. The garbage. Oh what I don't hear about.
Yeah we got something I did it to start with when I was in California and then the long long
long pause and then garbage. I sure if that was tactful or if that was the whole thing. But the
okay so what what I was more or less saying is that some German company had bought
Panera and then they stopped doing the bakery in-house stuff so the the bakers that would come
in a two or three in the morning that would bake the bread and the the bagels and do all the stuff.
They all got laid off and so now they have a third-party vendor that baked everything and they just
kind of reheat them or come in frozen and they baked them in the ovens but they no longer they fired
all the the bake will make it out of the same. My understanding I think that's the way that
pretty much most places do it now. A lot of stuff will not done in-house anymore.
Yeah which is okay but that's what they were known for and the thing is
everyone's noticed the quality is going down they left. I think three of them in our area that still
have bakers but most of them do not and I don't know if they're just doing that as a test but my store
was one of the stores they switched over and I normally don't eat much there but I just stop eating
all together there. I just get my coffee and come home and have some food. Well yeah I have to remember
that it's probably easier for them to pay one or two actual skilled bakers at one giant facility
or you know to the manufacturer these things these things that wind up getting baked as opposed to
trying to every single one of their chains trying to hire and train somebody to actually
bake things. It's getting harder and harder to find people to do regular jobs because of the
giant influx and gig work. So it's to find somebody to be a baker is the first problem
of the second problem being to train somebody to do the job and to do it right and for them not
to not ask for or want what would be a reasonable amount of money to do that job and then spreading
that out between all of the panera chain. Basically you need somebody who is a train baked
for that to happen you would need somebody who is a trained baker in every single panera location
and there are lots of panera locations and it is really difficult to find regular staff people,
let alone people who are trained or are willing to be trained and willing to be trained and take
whatever crappy pay they're willing to sling out. Also when you go to an industrial source
you're baking can take advantage of a lot of mechanization which is not available in each
little panera location. You end up with a economies of scale and everything like that.
Yeah they also had like two actual bakeries for the smaller stores that would do all the baking
for them but it's all been outsourced now so they close those up. So I don't even know who makes
them but it does come in frozen so it's still kind of baked in house but everyone's noticed the
quality difference it is not good at all I mean maybe the cookies but that's about it.
So I know I work in a grocery store and that's kind of everything basically comes in
frozen and then they have we have a lot of giant ovens where they just shovel all the stuff on
a trays, shovel them into the ovens for a while, preheat them back up and then you know put them out
for for sale and I know that my wife used to work for dunked donuts and then they had
one larger dunked donuts place where they basically did that where they put all the
bagels and stuff on to trays and baked them all at one central location first thing in the
morning and then somebody from that store went and they pack all the bagels up and then they that
person who baked them in the morning then delivered all of those bagels to a lot of the their
little sister locations and around the area. Yeah one of the places around here where I used to
used to get get pizzas for real treat went from making their own pizza dough on site to
buying it from from from from an outside vendor and and for I know the business
changed hands and they you know they have to recoup their costs and everything but
I decided that I would settle for seven and eleven pizza instead of the real thing because
the real thing is is getting a look is getting to rich for my blood at least in full size versions.
Hey I've had seven eleven pizza it's not all that bad for a five dollar pizza. I think around here
it's like ten but you know. It's a nice thing is I think they've had a food stamp discount
for a while that has been really helpful and also I get get their water melon chunks which means
I actually have some honest goodness organic relatively unadulterated vegetable matter in my diet.
Alright guys I'm gonna get some coffee and check out my family. I'll check out everything in a little while.
I have a good one yeah I'm gonna be leaving myself in about 10 minutes because I got to meet some
people at a restaurant and say happy about that and have more coffee. All right everybody if I
don't you're not around a little while a happy new year and I'll talk to you either soon or next year.
Okay have a good one. Have a good one. Have a good one.
Hello Mr. X I'm pulsating your show now.
George it looks like your file I made a Walmart.
Okay I have no idea what that means. I want he walks around at Walmart and sometimes he puts
on stuff on typing coffee. I'm not skilled at work until 2.30 and I need a few things.
Milk and oat milk. The wife. Can did you see my him about after it for the
audio quarter? No this is the boat commentator such as the link.
I put it in yeah and I put an element and on the book tracker. Yeah good stuff so that there we go.
Can't find why I disappeared from the android story there. For root phones they actually have a phone
recorder too. But I have not successful root and can he phones that had recently.
Okay I've stuck to using Google pixels. Could you get that for free? Well not for free but
I'm on a trip. I'm on a trip. Happy New Year. This is a strong prayers that he'd better than.
I hope so. I hope so. Have you made any progress with your skillet display?
Yes. I've moved it to the drawer. I'm like so many like what I want to do with my
cheap yellow display right? And it's easy peasy and the only time of the year I actually get to do
stuff like that is today. It's New Year's Day. I have a day off. Nobody wants me to do anything.
All the shops are more less shut. This is the only day in the year where I get to do tech stuff
purely on adulterated without feeling guilty. I'm doing HDR stuff now so that needs to be done as well.
And for years I have this. It's very very simple. I want to have the cheap yellow display
being a digital lock. My son my bed right. I wanted to display date and time in ISO 8601 format.
I wanted to automatically have a real-time lock thing on it so that if the network drops,
it still knows what the time is. I wanted it to be sinking with an NTP server to get time.
And I wanted so that it is kind of like dependent resistor in it so that it doesn't
freakin blind you in the middle of the night. I wanted to be able to have an alarm clock that I can
set on the thing itself or like remotely. On the thing itself is fine. But mostly I want
so non-tactile way of knowing the time. Now that's what I want. That's what I want. I don't want
to be blinded. I don't want it to automatically have always the right time. Shouldn't be too hard.
You'd think over. I have finally got the and now I've just got to write the code
pause there. I've had related distraction. But you've posted the shows into next year. So
it's like nobody knows. Indeed. At least I have work related distractions now for a while there.
It was us. That's not good. Archer, you've recovered well from your issues last year. Here's
a go. You only have to go. I had now I can run short distances about a hundred feet at a time.
So not too much. That's better than I don't. I would only run a hundred feet. It was a big
dog. I'm what they call it. Well rounded. I am less rounded this year than last year. I went
from 192 to 180 something. And pounds not calder. And calder out. It's not bigger. That's
180 is my goal. I hit it once about 12 years ago and when back in closer to 300
than hundred little hovering. Get back on the ball. But I'm glad your recovery is ahead.
I think the dog or their hand has to lose weight. He's up the almost. Sorry about the
cart noise. Yeah, here's 40 pounds. And he's a mixed big old dog. So you're talking about a fat
snoopy. Yeah, that's very much so. He was 30 when we got him from the route rescue them.
We've got two cats on the on the high side. There's about 10ish pounds. Siamese cats. They're not.
Not as long as slim as ours is an American short. We're losing a little bit of weight. And
Vazzie is also almost 14 years old. Now you're in North and Key, right? Redlong, redlong,
Ohio-ish Lexington, Sharia, right? Didn't mean to scare him off. The Walmart, the Wi-Fi
messed up. I'm getting in my eye. I was getting in my car to drop back my fort five minute drive.
What was the question again? Yeah, I mean, it's called sentiana. It's about an hour south of
Cincinnati, hour north of Lexington. It's halfway through Cincinnati, Lexington. Very cool.
She considered coming down to Knoxville, Tennessee in May for besides Knoxville. We have blast.
I think I've ever been to Knoxville. I've been to the capital. Straight down, straight down 75.
Yeah, 75. Straight down 75. This year's theme is down the rabbit. I'll be very interested one day.
It's on a Friday to five, but a really good, really good com. The only annual
imposec hacker con, uh, Tennessee. Can you post that? I just don't want to miss. Oh,
where it's at? Sure. Where would you like it post it? Sure, sure. Sure, sure.
You took the words on one of them. Yeah, that's nice. Element is the best and that's best.
Yeah, no security that my IS paint blocks it. I always have them in the same column as the
stream router and everything else yesterday trying to get my IS Bob block the stream too.
So that the only way I was able to talk is on mama on the mobile. Are you invested on? I am.
I think I may have connected me face in second to get over there and I can drop her the link over here
in the chat. There you go. Cut out. I can't type in he and you to talk. All right, we got you
to go in here. Besides Knox, May 22nd, been on the. Maybe our trucker from Ohio would head down that way.
He was on here earlier. Um, last night actually. Oh, yeah. Um, he's around Indianapolis.
It's a shame. It's what he didn't get on here. They would have had a good
conversation with both have CDLs. Oh, that's who I was thinking we're talking of. Where's
I thought he's got it now. No color. His username on here was Dale underscore CDL and when he said
he was a trucker that. Yeah, when I saw the CDL that put it in perspective.
Gentlemen, breakfast have yourselves an amazing six. You too. Thank you very much for all the
shows last year. Really, really helped out. I know we'll add it to my new year as a resolution to make
that clock thing. Although if you want to do shows about it, so that you do all the work and I don't
have to do it even better. No, I've got to I've actually have a clock like project that is already
in my mind for after project. There are tools out there that will list the beats of a clock. We'll
tell you if it's running fast, if it's running slow, if you know the beats per hour, those
most have that tell you and they'll also, if it's in beat and out of beat, and they're very expensive
and with an Arduino. That's that's going on. I've already had this. I put a placeholder for it on
my GitHub and I've already had a cup of reach out and say, hey, have you done anything with this yet?
We're, nope. We're thinking at a time. So, I'm the list to do list, yes.
No, it's cool. What was Recool was hearing the Tokstam episode. They had heard your episode.
I'm like, oh, we need to buy four of these things and then they did an episode on it.
They did some really cool stuff. Not to say that your stuff wasn't cool.
They weigh out distance, anything that I would be like, it might be a collaborative project
clock. Cool. And hosted on Git's who gets some skills. I don't know if I said it,
one of that I recorded already, but I still don't get Git. I actually edit my Git stuff
web page, doing the proper things with the pull requests and merge all that.
Yes, exactly. And the reason I'm laughing is not four hours ago, I did that's very
thing to get something fixed on the HPR website. Role is probably going to hit me with a
Robert Chicken when he finds out, but fine. Yeah, I work some folks that do a lot of AWS. And
it's amazing how many times the people that are doing the Terraforms code will make an update
and then everything breaks shouldn't have broken. We find out that the
not folks will change his directly environment. We'll get there. And work everything has to go
through the whole there is no there is no way to do it live everything goes through all the
chicken stuff and then it goes to the CCE, what's the CCCCD thing process? CICD. That's the one
great continuous development continuous integration damage and like yeah.
Mr. Actually, show is live printer conspiracy's great. All right, once again,
Adios throw out goodbye. Good bye. Good luck. So long. To the web stereo. Bye.
Let me 30's. Northwest around five. Well, in our stereo. Copyrights of the material. Copyrights of the
material. Thank you. Is that copyrighted? Is that national? Does matter. It's copyrighted. Oh,
sorry. I was hoping. Everything by default is copyrighted. By default. When will that change?
Public knowledge should not be copyrighted. Well, no argument for me. But it does show why I need to
be so careful listening to the when I'm doing the check at the beginning of processing
visuals, looking for music, everything. Everything about anything can lead to a take-to-notes.
Noted in the show notes. I know we keep out either bad. This is a national frequency for weather
on the note. Don't think there is. It's different per country. I just thought there might be
an equivalent of national weather service today. R is a 162.450. Very organized. If you heard earlier
about the yesterday, I guess I got the color. I mean, I was able to easily program my channel,
which I wasn't a V5R. Well, this is this new video that you got. Yeah, it's not a really
powerful. It's only five watts and it's indoors. It's obviously not going to get very modest,
but at least I get the national weather service on it. I expect loads of shows, no doubt.
Well, there are a lot of menus to go through, so I could do that as long as I don't want
up the volume and have a copyright strike. We'll just put it on a channel that has no
aesthetics just in case. Yeah, or you could transmit from, do you have any other way to transmit?
No, I mean, how? Do you have another video? I do. I have more around here. I have the UV5R,
and then I know it right in front of me. I have, I was a 8-8HP. It's just a little bit bigger battery
on it, same controls. And you can transmit from all the pick-up on the other, surely?
Oh, so I just keep it local, I see. You look at both set to the same frequency, so we'll see how
the source. This is Kilo Delta 9R, Victor Mike Whiskey, testing out our frequency of 145 by
0.25 zero megahertz. That was transmitting from a 5R mini 2HP. I'm going to try the other way around
to see if the sound quality is a little better. This is Kilo Delta 9R, Victor Mike Whiskey,
testing on the Vowfang F8HP to see how it transmits to 5R. Hello, is that you can?
Let's meet here. The transmission come through.
No, didn't hear a thing. Well, I heard you go, and this is me transmitting. This is me sending a test,
but I didn't hear anything that sounded like you came from a radio. Oh, I have, okay, that's
where I have the other earpiece, because I have a set of earbuds, and I put the other earpiece
near the radio. Unless I come through so crystal clear that I didn't even notice.
I do have a Bluetooth speaker that I could put, so I don't mix my signals up and see if it
comes out there and sounds like a radio. All right, I'm all ears. Well, yeah, I picked it up on
clear, and so I'm, because I wasn't willing to pay the full price, but it's not bad for $25
and then I can play my vinyl records on my setup that I did a recording of on the sometime this year.
Oh, cool. So, our aunt got your Christmas music that I have on the record player,
and then I transcend it to the stream and put the speaker out by her. Oh, so much.
Oh, yeah, because it's not the same when it's, I do have an monitor to pull it out of the speakers
in the bedroom, but it's not the same with it's not in front of you. Yeah, absolutely.
And, of course, the kind of people we are, we like to make things interesting, anyways.
Just a 222 joining. Yeah, if I duplicate it myself, apparently I hadn't paired the hydrogen,
which is an odd thing. Does it do it? I'm testing for hacker hammer radio. I'm testing for hacker hammer radio.
Hacker hammer radio. And I see Delta Ray is in the house. How are you doing, Delta?
And Lovecraft should be in here as soon as in the root directory. Hello, can you hear me?
Can a teacher? I'm glad. Okay, I wasn't sure because I haven't used this in a long time.
And I forgot what the push to talk button would be happy new year. Happy new year as well.
And I'm sent to you. Happy new year. How was your year so far? Well, I'm on my second cup of coffee.
Excellent. I finished the pot. So, that again, it's five or so.
I'll come the afternoon to them. Are we still streaming? Oh, yeah. Why not? It's a little bit slower this year.
Due to the fact that it's in the middle of the week and not that we can drive today also. Good
episode today. Thank you for that. Oh, yeah, you're welcome. I actually have a couple more in the bag.
I'm doing a third in the uncommon command series that is on the S trace command.
Good. Yeah. And then I was it's funny. I was listening yesterday to the the stream.
And they were talking people were talking about movies. And I was like, well, that's fun. I'm actually
editing an episode that's about cybersecurity related movies. And should be
probably be able to post that for maybe the 15th or 16th. Nice. We like that sort of thing.
And while I was editing it, I thought, actually, I'm using a few techniques, which probably other
podcasters are using for HPR already, but just in case people aren't aware of being like
remove noise or background noises or do height was it high pass filters to get rid of like
bangings in the background or something. I thought I could make a short episode about how to fix
some of those things. Be careful of you. Everyone of these that you promise is now like you owe me a show.
You say it? That was us to be a show. Well, I'd love to hear that. Yes. That's why I've
reluctant to say, oh, I really should do a show about that because then I owe you a show.
Right. Yeah. Yeah. The number of ideas that I have written down that I haven't followed up on
this enormous, probably. I have a folder ever increasing folder on my personal kit, which has
like HPR shows and loads of sub directories. I've had one and they're so long that it's
the actual technology that it's about has become obsolete. What technology is that? How it's about
they do the Raspberry Pi. Some stuff for the Raspberry Pi and they then now ship it and the
Raspberry and what I was trying to do then I would do I see. Well, I'm going to get on with my
day then I bear a finish up that episode so I can get posted and I'll talk to you guys later.
Roger. How's it? Good year. Thanks for all the shows. Looking forward to some
you ones and great tips on your master build. Thanks. Take care. Bye. And ask how the sound quality
is on these earbuds versus the zoom that I use. Prepared but old. You know I'm the wrong person
to be asking about that. So they lower the berry to entry but they're not great. Yeah, but they're
not not they're fine. Like I can hear fine. Are they? Are there any heck of public radio
people still here? Take that doesn't matter. I'm here. Yeah, happy to hear that. I wasn't
sure whether the 20 foot lead the new year podcast was finished or not but I thought I'd drop in
anyone. Hello. We're charging along. Happy New Year John. How's everyone doing? All right.
Couldn't be better. Got a free day off. I can on my messing about here on my main cave. Very good.
Very good. I'm out for a walk. I hate to have me make the dreadful mistake of waiting myself this
morning and deciding that perhaps I had a little too much excess over the over the question of
weight. So I'm stuck in the fitness level back up a little bit and maybe not quite so
quite so unfit as we go into the new year. Into the rest of this new year I should say.
My life when I went for a walk again this morning was really nice. Any downside of
call being that where I would have in the past taken a radio or something out with me. I know
that the route I take I basically live in the in the bottom bit of a giant bowl. So
unless I let's put in to Harry Nate Jeff radio around with me. I wasn't going to get anywhere with it.
Are you um you're uh I'm as well are you? Because Archer is here busy messing with a radio. Well I mean
technically I've been licensed for very nearly 30 years now. But my actual radio activity is
effectively. Is it handheld? Can I work your repeater with it and my days of it? So I used to work
in a radio shop. Back in the very very dim and distant past. I used to work for one of the UK
radio shops called Wartson Stanton. So I worked for them as my Sunday job whilst I was at my sixth
format back in the 90s. But then they closed the shop down because they were focusing more on the
smaller branches and then yeah so point I went to university. I was able to go to the
Mapplin store and say because at the time Mapplin's had a radio gear supplied by uh Wartson Stanton.
So I was able to say oh I know quite a lot of your range because we used to sell it but uh yes I got
about nine months of job out of that and then uh works too much one Christmas and they said
you two dedicated we can't afford to keep paying you because you keep just turning up and working
which obviously wasn't what they'd planned for with they had somebody recruited in so
but yes so um 1990s I got my got my license off the back of uh my dad who was also licensed
he uh when my mom and dad met he had a receiver on his bedside table and my mom saw that
within the year she'd get rid of that and well let's just say when they when they both passed away
he still had radio's dusted all around the house in various places but does all the room
oh no they don't still on the bedroom table still on the bedroom table free in the office
uh so in the car plus always a hand held any pocket just in case he uh he accidentally
hadn't got carried the right radio with him um it was fun and I'm not a person
I'm not a man I'm not a man I'm not a man I'm not a man I'm not a man I'm not a man
we're hearing your calls a lot there we're just another way
ah right so the microphone is coming off my phone which means that might be a bit better
than that headset yeah that would go so wouldn't so yeah so when I moved north from from where
I grew up I said to my dad oh I'm I'm moving into a place with my girlfriend can you make
sure we got some tools and he's like yep definitely no problem at all so the first time he came
up in busy 3d brought a soldering iron and a reel of solder and some pliers and I'm like no no
no no I meant I meant like you know a drill set screwdriver maybe a ladder he's like oh that
kind of tool yeah you're caught yes that kind of tool you idiot anyway but yeah so um
to part of the reasons well and and to be fair I still have the soldering iron and the stuff that
he bought me and I did put it's good use this year so you know or say this year this last 12
month period um yeah I uh I was I was big into planning on recording a show
ah well so here's the thing I had I built something in my head seemed like a really sensible and
great idea which was so my wife and I both worked from home and my wife is convinced that when I
talked to people I need to shout to them which is not necessarily accurate um but so yeah so uh but
because she now takes phone calls as well from from where we working in the house together um I thought
I want to do as I build a little ESP32 um circuit board with a traffic light on it and we've got
home assistant in the house so I'd make it so that um when she went onto phone call she pushed the
button to say I've started the call and after 30 minutes it would start flashing every few minutes to
say you still on the call so she would remember you know she was up at the store and call it on
basically so that I wouldn't go in and disturb anyway so I built this little circuit board
yeah I built this I built this little circuit on the ESP32 3 LED's one um one push button switch
couple of resistors jobs a good and then I set up in her office and we both used it once I used it once
once I was in with proof it worked and I was like my god those those LED's are really really really
bright yeah and she was just like can't I just stick something in the window to say that I'm on the phone
and I'm like alright okay so non technical solution is what you want and so um I mean we have this
we have this issue all all the time in our house I want everything to be on a phone on a
on something I can reach for a web page you know something like that and she's like I've got my
paper diary we're all set for the year I'm like well you might be yeah but uh not so much for me anyway but
I mean don't get me wrong I don't have a problem with with what her method of doing things
and frankly she's she's in control of the diary and I am but I'm mere supplicant in front of it saying
oh please please may I have half an hour with my friends on this date so she knows what she knows
when everything is and I just I just accept what's going on but yeah so the circuit the circuit I wrote
oh sorry the the ESP there's two program that I wrote with the home assistant ESP home
add-on is good but it was all a um AI generated so I don't feel like I can really
I don't feel like I can really explain what I did there because I don't really understand a whole
or everything that is in there um but um I'm the circuit so I'm gonna be at um I think we're
EMF campus here have you heard of EMF campus? I have a tutor yeah that's the where you go
camping in the field I can camping and you can do all speed tracks
I must say with 2,000 geeks in the field I have better Wi-Fi than I have had in any of the
professional buildings I've been in in my entire working career but yes and my plan had been to take
this little ESP first to circuit board to EMF campus and then when I started looking into well
I can't really I can't really justify pre-purchasing a load of these boards when actually no one
in my household uses them for what we'd bought what we'd bought them for because my plan had
been once I've got it working from a wife had been to then have one outside my door so the kids
knew when I was on a call that mattered and a call that didn't um because again that's why it was
a traffic light rather than just an on and off so the on-amber would be you know it's not an important
call and the on-road would be this is a customer call and you know no one no one may enter
but yeah so but with with no one really actually being that bothered by it
I decided that I wasn't gonna bother doing that and instead we just run the board going to
EMF camping state so so yeah we we have quite a lot of board games in our house
you know I think the law is just 500 games and it's tricky I mean I do know what
it's very easy to like call those event results well yeah the problem is
is that although I used to have a t-shirt that said I read the rules so you don't have to do
what we've found over the time over time is that actually what happens is I read the rules
everyone says that I've read them wrong they read them and discover that I have read them wrong
so I'm not even that good at it you know telling people how to play games either
but no I'll give it a try I'll see if I can put something together and explain to people
why but yeah I don't know it's some recording anything generally at the moment is tricky so my kids are
14 and 11 and they both have a um so they're both on the on the autistic spectrum
and they are both having educational challenges at the moment sorry I can possibly tell I'm
now walking down a slightly busy a bit of roadway which is possibly not helping with the
the audio in here but yeah with my kids both both having schooling challenges at the moment
actually fitting any time in even in the evenings is tricky so but yeah I'm not making a promise
Ken because I know that you you do love to hold people to their promises when they probably do
that's uh yes my intention is now that you've now that you've suggested it and I have
realized what a good idea it is is to actually maybe maybe start doing an open-up series on board
games why not why not it's not it's not the sort of stuff that I'm typically known for
in the in the world of podcasting on such fall but yeah it's not about out there actually
yeah no do do that that you got it you got it sorry well that that's what I said that
you've got an idea in my head put seeds and people's heads is a hair fairy you can do the podcast
of this it's worked sorry did you say I didn't listen let's do we did it oh I listen I listen
though it quite too did a series on huh all right okay cool cool yeah there's a whole series
called tabletop games let me see how many apps we have but we also you know I mean you could do
you don't have to go to the internet it's feels like a bit like the what the guys are doing
with the beer review you know tabletop games this is a good game I like there's a joe of
it's cheap it's expensive it's free it's whatever maybe I will then maybe I'll
it's fairly straightforward from the town more I think more about the SP32 is I don't know anything
about those so we have six and three episodes of that tabletop gaming series wow
I wonder how many of those games I've got in the house there you go we've got about 500
board games in the house I think is a big board game or it's also yeah my wife and I would
typically play well so last year we we our January first commitment last year was that we were
going to play one new board out one board game that we hadn't played that year each day and we got
three till June when we had circumstances outside of control that stopped us but yeah we were playing
quite a lot of we played so every day we would play at least one new board game which was quite cool
as in so not not as in the only purchase yeah one game that we hadn't played that year yes
um that there's some commitment yes that's a lot of board games you could even do an
absolute and where you're storing them because I would be really only interested in that one
so perhaps that we we have owned for the last 10 plus years has a full length garage
which is not wide enough to house a car which makes no sense to me but you know whatever
so it's a full length garage and one of our neighbours used to be a shop fitter so they would fit
they would put all the shelving and display units and such forth up in in a shop and when she
stops doing that she had three sort of three reasonably sized shelving units which she gave to us
so we now have three sets of shelves one way and two sets of shelves across the back wall
and a set of shelves under the in the the alcove weather the stairs go up and up and around
and they are all full sop to bottom with board games they're not in order um not yet
although one of my cousins did did volunteer come down and do that out over the Christmas break
and then didn't so we'll see what happens in the year but yeah and then we I had a Google
spreadsheet that I was using last year that was tracking what games you played until apparently
tracking the statistics on how many games I'd won the pan in made playing board games not very fun
for my kids yeah nine entirely sure why that is so yeah but um I actually you mentioned about the
ESP 30 so I have to be brutal honest with you the ESP 30 is effectively just a PCB on
two riser two sets of riser pins like you have the unsighted of the Raspberry Pi
and it's got a USB C power in at the bottom and I plug that in and then go into the
home assistant um add on called ESP home um and then it's just a YAML based programming language
actively so you just put in you know when this is high when this when this pin is is showing
high then do this thing and you can you can farm some of it off to home assistant so it
because it's home assistant extension it will turn it will make you know it will make a sensor on
on home assistant uh when you know when a pin is showing high or you can trigger pins to go high
on from home assistant you can set variables in the ESP 30 so not lots of them and they don't
retain state so if you lose power they don't come back up in the same state like they were before
but you can say you know um you can have a thing which there's every every 15 seconds go back and
set set that thing I guess I hadn't haven't checked but you could do that sort of thing I have
I suspect um and yeah it's just programming language so you just poke stuff into it but again like I said
I I put I I basically asked chat GPT to write it all for me um because although I can program
what I'm better at take out someone else's written and kind of tweaking it and adjusting it
and what I found is that previously chat GPT which as I was using when I was doing the
the ESP 32 home stuff um what I found is that I'm very good at spotting when a coding assistant doesn't
know what it's doing and nudging it down the right path I'm not very good at starting something fresh
so um this is the I guess this is a potentially another HPR episode right here which is for me
yeah how I how I use coding assistants um because I'm for good or for ill I'm starting to be one of
one of the people that knows what they're doing at work about it so there's no reason why I couldn't go
on them explain something like that got damn it can I knew you were mistake coming on here
so that's why I'm a home assistant and then why not coding assistant and then why not
no I could never explain yamble yeah and also the board games I know so the board games
damn the pair of you damn the pair of you not really don't be on seriously once you're
year that's it that's all we ask yeah but there's only one show a year yeah yeah it's not so much about
the nervous breakdowns it's the justification why using my office again from my wife you know why
using the mic clones out here well I just you know I just thought I'd just thought I'd just thought
I'd record a quick show for my friend Ken and another show for this guy and I could I archer
and I just thought it else you know just just those two and again and again the board cast that I
do on the monthly well well for a good at doing it on the month of the year but we're getting back
into it that man so yeah that's where you guys were supposed to do talk about that's
here's the hard to do the thing on the your microphone's gone again but what if you talk about
there you're 232 on that and I think so I think so yeah that's um yeah it's uh I I I have a lot
of funness for admin admin but it's really hard to share your shows because it's four people
all trying to share your stuff and uh all of a bit busy yeah no life yeah well you know
outskot kids Jerry's got kids choose got kids I've got kids and uh yeah life is uh life is
challenging for some of the admin team at the moment she's kind of where we got restarted
but that challenging stuff uh sometimes makes it hard for us to all go shows we're supposed to
have recorded on the Christmas Eve which strangely enough didn't happen yeah so but no we'll figure
something out did you ever have some on um filled about no that wasn't me no I don't use
files but I uh really good to do instead just rely on people not why is that then uh cause we're
putting out servers for our content distribution network and uh you know exactly the format
it should only serve as your files in the known format like four such apps forward such
we are number boom and something within great extensions so I want to be able to set it up
first of all I want to be able to set it up that they um Apache will flag anything outside of that
as a uh for all four or three or something and we'll have that IP address directly into filled
bands all that we don't get any crap from these people anymore permanently better um interesting
so there is a risk to do it so um I don't know if I was mentioned in the past I used to be in
no excuse specialist um there is a risk when you ban IP addresses um that when there's two
risks to it the first is that things like tour and other uh proxy networks exist so it's really
hard to block based on the IP address because people can become from quite literally anywhere um and
the other problem that you have is what you almost want to do is if someone makes a request once and
they get blocked is the first thing they're going to do swap to another IP address or is he going
to be trying again and those are two different failure states because if they try again then what
I would tend to do instead of just blocking stuff is tapeting um now I don't know if tapeting is
a thing you can do with uh and ftables but you could don't look at the IP tables or is it IP chains?
oh god I can't remember now um the yeah if all you're trying to do is just stop people
oh come on down with a flu there sorry I don't know what that was you just did but I'm guessing
you're trying to do this just just face my past this sorry god damn it can god damn it
um but yeah blocking blocking based on IP addresses is not a great idea what you instead
need to do block based on behaviors so you block based on um you know a period of time having passed
so I would typically block for like 30 minutes to an hour uh failed to belong and can do that
so blocks yeah some of them could do a non-block some after a day or so which is fine um but also
if you've already got if you've already got your patchy logs showing failed attempt on specific paths
okay another thing on this one it won't be for an episode but it will definitely be for something
how can you my library? yeah I love the perfect. this isn't uh this is more for uh and I actually
don't mind doing the episode once I get it done because I want to be able to uh have a pack for
people who want to join this CDN network so that um so anybody who has like a fiber optic
connection not limits it with thunder it can be a bit or more you're running can be a bit
for a turret bite hard disk and we are think they uh hard day actually are think on the machine from
is the uh origin server so then our shows are replicated those on our own community based CDN
mm so I want to um somebody has a small PC very little traffic actually well there's
reasonable traffic but it's like one download a second or something like that so it's not
yeah you're thinking how do you guarantee that the CDN has all of the shows
I confirmed that myself I uh I'm able to sink out to each of them and then I do a check
a head check and make sure that I've got a 200 or 200 response and on the back end what I could
do is check for a 200 response and if I don't get a 200 response I don't send the query them
the first time and caching blah blah blah but I'm not so far that that's a problem yet yeah just
so in the back of my head I'm thinking what you could almost do with is having a
sim link switched on so okay what I mean is what you could do with perhaps doing is having the
our sink going into a directory like I don't know uh shows sake of argument but then only sim
linking the file into the CDN once you've got the full file our sink down so
maybe having a script that will do you know check the doesn't even need to be like a full
shot two five six or something or five 12 it just needs to be could even just be an MD five
of the the file that you've got that matches the index file somewhere so then once you know you've
got the MD five matching it then does the sim link so you only have the file serving once the
once the file's there does that make sense yeah but it's overly complicated I know it's there
because when I process the show I make sure it's there a human and I know what I mean is that all the
all the CDN all the CDN targets have got it yeah I mean I know that because I distribute it to all
the CDN targets so they all have it they're all running their own Apache server and then on the
HDR server we do a redirect to those other servers and if for any reason and through the
beauty of our SS if for any reason they don't get it it doesn't matter because your reader will
come and try it tomorrow or some other time hmm you're not convinced no I'm not convinced
I'm just thinking whether there are other options because like for example what happens if you know
my ISP goes down for you know three hours I get what you're saying about the RSS being the
exact magic glue that makes it work exactly but this is not real time stuff you can get away with
does it really matter you don't get your shield now are you getting another hour it doesn't matter
the only cool thing I could do is if if they if the CDN is I mean if we build if we guess
too such a stage where this is a problem this is a happy problem for me
sure no I go I go we then yeah but my view on it is like they we have another check to check
the bundle and stuff and we could have prometius and you know yeah calling back and then we could
automatically take in all those and we could put a note back in and that's fine but right now
a little bit overkill RSS it's an RSS feed if you get an error it's got to come back automatically
by the time awesome right I'm now home I will have a thing called things I hope for you much
yeah so don't put yourself into too much pressure yeah I'm deduting our work if you insist
can record on your phone while doing a walk yeah see what I did there yeah I see what you did there
have a great new year guys and see you end hopefully I hope it's your next year bye bye
what mic was he using it I don't know what actually was he using so he could do something
heading it was set up yeah I'm I'm sorry now because somebody comes on for a chat and I've
barred them with guilt guilt trip them into different shields but it was not an interesting
counter it was interesting it is our subject something he's an interesting guy John the nice guy I have
never done he's a minimum of all camp and really you know his handle is John the nice guy
and he genuine me is a nice guy he's out as he said he's on the admin pub plus I heard that that one
and remember when how when was it there there was another one where they he called it
admin admin but he couldn't because it was a copyright on the nice guy's actually show
I can remember the guy's voice but I don't remember his name it's something to do with any
a parrot not a parasite but something you know in cattle and that was his username
okay no I can't think well I'll have to go back and look because I knew there was an admin
admin and he had to stop using that name because of for the particular type of show series because
it was interfering with a different person strong just give me one second doing something
I sent a message out the message on that we're coming up on 31 hours so I think we have 31 hours
not of content but at least I've run continuous running time on mumble
hey I got public radio is currently 1151 almost midday on January 1st 20th this year
just wishing everybody a happy new year and a happy new year back to your new year
hey Ken hey Mark Archer how's it going guys it's going fantastically who's sitting here
book and people don't tell the do-shows and get so annoyed or just let the drop off
we had John the last time here oh nice open and tender really
congratulations by the way you had an event full year
indeed I did thank you as it is we've already got a good amount of things planned for this year so
let's hope it all comes to fruition nice stuff I hope of course good stuff it's
seem a bit distracted it is cause I am yeah we got home from our festivities I think we
our heads hit the pillow around 3.30 in a morning while I got up I would say about an hour ago
or so my wife is still sleeping are you guys to go to do anything nice well you can probably
guess all full of you going past we did we went to a friend's house that kind of a friend's new
years Eve party there and my wife had made some games and everything for us to play
during the new year so I had a good time that's nice you're going over this way anytime soon
this year we'll have to wait that will have to see it was in the plans if we find any good
a fair price is we might actually be doing it but we don't know yet we've already got our
our when you're waiting at a nursery planned out where we're going to stay some time at the keys
then what else we got another trip coming up soon for her youngest daughter's birthday so we're
going to be around around about a bit as you you're too worried about that four years social media
history still coming up you think they follow the Fedivers I guess if if our current president
has his own instance I would imagine so hard to know are you paying if they're looking for
something will find us interesting though so are you learning German or not yes still learning German
doing it through do a lingo I just need to practice speaking anymore but yeah I've been wishing
my stepdaughter's godmother a Merry Christmas happening or everything in German
that is impressive broken German mind you but German nonetheless yeah but you know by definition
everybody starts all speaking broken German or broken language so you learn as you go along
that's true well the temp kind of went down a bit here yesterday uh drop down on into
what was it about 11 degree Celsius last night here in Miami of all places oh yeah it's
I actually had taken a code of mine that I was because I wanted to wear my fedora that I had bought
just recently when we were in CS the key and I got the chance to use it so I was like oh let me
let me wear my p-cote today since the weather's asking for it is your fedora red bullet each
nah it's a brown fedora dark brown no red fedora's I posted a picture on uh on messed up
oh yeah that's right that's the one I sold this morning I sold for you yeah that's the one
I had mistakenly called it a pedicote and someone corrected me and yeah not a pedicote oh unbelievable
no I'm glad they did because that would have been a little bit awkward to explain to my wife
so I'm and may good on my uh my promise to record that episode on high cool and mumble
talk about doing it by the skin of my teeth there you go I was just gonna say that yeah
no I recorded it I think on the 17th and I was like let me put it on the 30th just to be funny
it's actually quite interesting that high cool is that's such a point that you can do that
for all those ups I think it's been that way for a while right at least within the year I was
supposed to do the episode I just sat and checked uh I tried it at work as I didn't think
it would work and actually did hello am I here not depends I'm almost well I didn't I I know
I'm not all here but you understand I do you think you haven't talked to all these last year
I didn't even think the show was still going on but I know it goes on until it doesn't
I just saw a master that I'm post about 15 minutes ago saying it was still going so I'm here
there you go 31 hours it said yeah not sure we're gonna get 31 hours because there's a lot of
trunket silence but still no her yeah yeah keep it down George sorry I'll just go back to sleep
I think your cat has and has taken over your mouth she may have
anyways I just got home from my surprise birthday party which I don't think was a surprise to him
is it your birthday no no last month was my birthday now this was my friend Allen's birthday
one of the walking people I I walk within the morning you know we're all ghosts now it's good to be
a ghost the conspiracy theory around the code vaccine was that everyone would be taking the poison
and would be dead by December 31st 2025 well I have been vaccinated so many times I'm
probably because somewhere well after the New Year's Eve parties I kind of feel dead
the morning after not the same thing yeah and theory 75% of Americans should be dead as a
by last night the problem with conspiracy theories is yet out live them to prove them wrong
well you know they're gonna chalk up at least 75% of the deaths that happened at the end of
2025 to that even though it was it may not have been or wasn't different whole group being 75% of
there well we have 385 million it was supposed to be 75% of that was dead actually I feel better
than I did in 2020 at least my accident in April 2020 really put me back a good distance
I need to drop off and see where my son is he went to a party last night that should be back
by now because it should be back if you are as go but anyway I'll be back or I'll be doing a
taxi drive somewhere in the Netherlands see you guys I'm sure you are happy New Year can
if I don't get them touch keep this going guys keep it going I'm going to drop off for a bit
myself I'm making breakfast here say hi to everybody tell you thanks very much for
for all the shows during the year and stuff not enjoy yourself I pleasure and I like the
types any ideas what I can do for a show this year I've done so damn few and for that I'll
pass you over to my colleague George or something too all right I'm here for a while longer for
button I mean power unfortunately I have to work at 230 and I'm only five minutes away so I can
you don't sound a wicked archer I am away I've had five cups of coffee but my earpiece probably
doesn't I use an SNS sound core right now and I don't know if it sounds very good can't sound
it as a sound pretty crappy but it was the only way I could walk on that set yeah I went to a
party today at at a restaurant up the road here and it's a buffet type thing unfortunately I think I
too much so now I have like a food higher or something we actually had pizza delivery last night
and it was pretty good but it took forever it was an hour and a quarter wait they promised this
15 minutes by zero but it still got here and it was good and this was um oh crap what's that
Detroit brand Jet Spizza and it was pretty good it's better than the other brands except for
if we drove all the way in in Knoxville the best pizza in the world is a place called South Coast
I think I've had Jet Spizza it sounds so familiar is it a chain yes it is uh Detroit based
okay yeah I don't think they're down here but I think I've had them in Charlotte maybe yeah I
posted a place in Tekken Coffee I put the little I don't know feeler for I was I was a cherry blossom
yeah Jet says not in the top five um Domino's Pizza Hut little Caesar's Papa John's Marcos
by number of locations hunt brothers is the largest but that's because they hang out in all these little
convenience stores they just put a little pizza machine in but Jet says in the top ten in sales
in 2023 as the last numbers we have Domino's had 9 billion Pizza Hut 5.6 billion
little Caesar's 4.5 billion Papa John's 3.8 billion that drops to Marcos at 1.04
Papa Merge use at 759 mod pizza 699 hungry how he's at 468 jets at 412
and roundtable at 409 million last time I saw hungry how he was in Charlotte
Charlotte did have the best pizza place in the south I've been in which was called fuel pizza
well there's a hungry how he's in the town I live in which is Morris town Tennessee now
but we were not traded very well by the staff so we're not going back there I can't find any
real numbers more current than 2023 though however Casey's convenience stores has pizza at many
of their stores and they bought out a whole bunch of smaller convenience chains in the last two years
and maybe moving into the top ten you know who I haven't seen in here all time who's at
scoty and looking but looking forward to talking all year that was quite a year it took that
longer from my accident George there are some jet pizzas in Florida they're pretty much scattered
all over oh I may have to look they're used to I think I looked here one time but I don't
any in Jacksonville or Jack's Beach well I only can see a map of the country in Florida
and they're dots on it and they don't list the cities but they're definitely sum up in the
Jacksonville area somewhere there are two on the north coast of Florida there's one just down
from there and there's two more slightly inland from that 37% of Iran in Michigan but there's a
lot around Chicago all over Ohio and around Nashville and Atlanta other than that they're scattered
there's literally three and there's one right near me according to this it's on at Lanick
Boulevard which is just parallel to me but it's closer not sure where it is I don't have to look
but it's it's hey Atlanta kind of goes the whole length of Jacksonville so it could be anywhere
anyhow they're pretty good here they're they're the best in Morris town in our opinion
we've got the usual things pizza hut papa johns john domino's little seasers all that stuff
we also have a regional chain based in western Virginia called pizza plus that we kind of like
I actually used to be a driver for them at their blame store yeah looking at the menu now

your pizza's out for today huh? I'm pretty much anything out for the day

yeah the number 10 is round table and 83% of their restaurants are in California so they don't even
get out this way I guess there's a couple in the Dallas area but otherwise they're all the less
coast in my opinion papa Murphy's has the best cheese bread but you have to take it home and
bake it yourself it's yummy though it looks like there's about five papa Murphy's in Jacksonville area
just trying to get you that pizza George I'm currently looking at a
I posted the link I was using into the chat room on mumble I just added it to the show notes
with the timestamp in your name and everything how sweet thank you I have to contribute
something to the community you know I think I've added your stuff as I hear stuff and it
goes along I just kind of copy and paste from the actual side chat so I'm gonna throw the
links I've been talking I'm out in here too. On the topic of the year of the Linux desktop I just got
a message from Londoner in the full circle magazine group that the currently the highest is India at
6.51% of desktops USA is 5.28% North America in general is 5.04% but there is only one wolfman pizza
how good can it be I take that back because my favorite pizza in the world has only one location in
South Knox yeah not there's a lot with some good ones fuel pizzas pretty good that was my favorite
New York style pizza in Charlotte and they had a bunch of locations they took over some old
gas stations and they converted them to fuel pizza of course and their famous for the movie shallow
how there's a couple scenes where I guess they meet in a few little pizza in Charlotte so I remember
that movie so the pizza I've never seen it so the pizza scenes are done I think in the uptown Charlotte
location well if you ever get to Knoxville you have to go to South Coast pizza my wife loves their
IG and pizza it has all the Greek veggies and calamata olives and better cheese on it and he thinks
it's the yummyest thing in the world she also likes their green dragon or green monsters they have
a green dragon and a green monster and one of them she really likes on the other one she doesn't
and I don't remember so whatever today for website you're due South Coast pizza.com it has a very
beach vibe they only have picnic cables in this open room and they also have an awning outside
with more picnic tables yeah I had two favorite pizza places here and both of them closed one was vegan
and the other was New York style pizza both of them closed up all their stores during the pandemic
my favorite pizza place is now dead I'm sorry to hear that national pizza day is February 9th it
says wait there's all an uptown I gotta remember the name it's probably something like sals or
like a generic name and I can pick up a name oh man I think it is sals and can't look so my
semi what's left of pizza places here that's left it is I'm gonna post it in a side here but it's
a casso dora and only because when I first moved here it's the first pizza place I kind of saw
it's an uptown so I might go there once every two years these days but but it's probably the
next in line for pizza places I'm only because it's I'm good 40 minutes from our live so it's not
like I'm gonna go there a lot I just put a trip to South Coast on our calendar for February 9th
national pizza day I'll be right back I need to run to the other room for a second I have returned
are you Dracula I would you say I think like that I'm scared blah blah blah yappa
all right Dracula meets Evan and Castella I get it I grew up on Evan Castella her team
I'm older than you aren't I George you are I am 62 so if you're a little bit heavy I have 11
years on your George. I just turned 73 on December 4th. Oh, I know, I know you're
birthday because yours is a day before mine, but I knew it because I posted
your thing too. Oh, okay. We said you've got to stick together, you know?
Exactly. I even married this egg. I don't think I ever did. Close to
like that was a early capricorn. I don't think the marriage thing
once. So I knew her birthday, I guess. I don't know. You know, I forgot
dates though. I've been guilty of that. So yeah, I've been serially
monogamous. I keep getting left out for the trash. So I have to find
someone else. I do not present to the autistic and I actually really
am and that makes me weird for other people to figure out. I must do
have any Alexa device by the chance. I do. We had it unplugged for a
couple of years, but we plugged it back in after we moved here. Has it
forced you to do the AI thing because it did to me? I'm not sure. We've
been turning down many requests. Well, I kept turning the request down.
It's like sample the new AI version in blah, blah, blah. And then next thing
you know, it's like you've been upgraded. I'm like, but I didn't say yes.
Yeah, I'm still trying to figure out how to get Gemini off my phone. I keep
seeing lists of things to do and I go to my settings to do those things
and whatever headings I'm supposed to hit, it are not even on my settings.
And like Gemini for the reason of creating cartoons and pictures that I
occasionally post and take a few other than that, it doesn't know you used to
me. And now duck duck go. Let me opt out of it, but then keep trying off
for it back to me. Try Ecosia. I've been using Ecosia for a couple
years. It's kind of my favorite search engine now because like I get no ads and all I
do is save trees apparently. I don't know if I really do. Well, I used Ecosia
for a while and then they really want you to pay for it. And as far as
the saving trees goes, they have now put AI on it that I've seen. So I'm I'm
I'm really up. I wish we could just go back to all the VISTAs like like I did
like I had when I was a boy, you know. I want to go back to Internet Explorer 1.
Netscape. Netscape. I love Netscape. I took all these courses in Netscape
including their server packages way back in my early IDM days. I have these books
here that Netscape would send to me like textbooks on the browser and the
server packages. Yeah, we went Netscape and then Netscape navigated when they
try to add in some HTML tools. You can still use CMonkey. I used to love the
CMonkey still has it because it was a whole package. And I used Thunderbird as
well and I used Zen as my main browser. But they used to have the package with
the editor, the HTML editor. So my first, my first major HTML editing outside of
text was using their HTML editor. But it was kind of cool. And I think it's
still included in the CMonkey. Yes, it is. I tell you back with HTML 4. I was
teaching kids that didn't have enough brain cells to rub together how to use
HTML. I literally had a couple that I helped get Mary. I actually was the
efficient for their marriage with 70 and 80 IQs each of them. HTML 4 is that
stupid simple. 5. I'm still basically a little bit of HTML 4 plus put some
more tags on it. Are you a ULC minister? Among many others. Okay, yeah, I became
probably about 14 years ago. I'm not the look at my thingy on the wall, but yeah.
Not only so I could marry some friends of mine that, you know, normal
religions wouldn't marry because of cool they love. Yeah, I got PULC first
because ULC at the time had a IRS tanked on it. Progressive universe of life
churches no more because apparently the minister that ran it has passed. But it's
better known as the church that had, and my brain went out. Tom Jones was their
patron saint. And Tom Jones got to know about it and didn't mind. I have a
number of other nations. My most current active one is church of spiritual
humanism. And the unique thing about being in Florida is I don't even need to be
licensed locally. I could just show my ordinance and I'm good to get. That's good.
A lot of counties I've been in North Carolina in Tennessee require you to have a
presence in the county and in some cases they require you to have a building in
the county that is registered as a church. Oh, yeah, that's fun. Yeah, I've noticed
stuff like that too. I was gonna, I don't have to check local places if somebody
asked me to marry them. I have to like, oh, it's the local ordinance for me to marry you
because I may need to follow that. What's really funny is the person that married me to my current
wife also had church of spiritual humanism and I turned her on to it. But she's been a really
high class high priestess for a lot of time, a lot of years before I even got really into
wicked paganism. Heck, she now has mentioned in Wikipedia based on who she got married to.
And I think a year or so ago she got married to a very big name pagan Oberon
Gazelle of Church of all worlds. Yeah, I just looked at my ordinance or for digging
papers, whatever, and it said 2012, June 2012. So I've been a minister for 12 plus years, I guess.
I have to look on my website. I have all the dates in there. Wow. Progressive universe of
life church 1996, universe of life church later in 1996, Temple of Wica 2003, church spiritual
humanism 2010. Holy crap, you got maybe an audience. I guess ordering a cultist isn't on there
but it was somewhere in the 2000s. What can I say, George? I'm old. You and me both.
I'm working on year number 10 with life number six. Well, if nothing else, now we know of two
people that can marry other people if needed. So I'm available. I'm cheap. That's what I say when I
walk the streets. Wait, what? Actually, I have a friend on one of my discord groups who is a sex
worker. And the only discord group I'm in besides the now probably defunct tech and coffee one is the
Wall Street Betts, which to me is just a bunch of people talking about things like panicking
and not knowing what they do when they trade. So I usually just avoid that now. So
thank you for whoever's been going in and fixing up what I've been pasting in in our show notes
because now it's a hundred fifty in times cleaner with the correct time. Yeah, I just noticed I
had to update my website. We had to get rid of one of our cats. Sorry about that. If I had lived
locally, I would have taken your older cat because my older cat would have liked the older cat I guess,
but you know. Well, we first got rid of the 12-year-old brother to the Cecil. Cecil's
all's been a terrific cat that his brother just wasn't. And when we moved here, we had to
reduce to two cats and we decided, well, Grimmlin is such a sweet kitty, but Grimmlin did not
really adapt to the move very well and got a little bit destructive to things that could have
damaged the apartment if we let it go on any longer. A apartment management says we are eligible
to get another cat at any time. Well, I hope you didn't say anything else to me because I went
took my head bones off and talked to my wife for a moment there. We were just remembering back when
you delivered the Raspberry 2 from Tony to us. Well, that was 2019 because that's when I was
over there and in soon afterwards there were none anymore because of the great pandemic.
But yeah, Tony, man, Tony wasn't not. He was not at the last one. Tony used because I usually
work the desk with him. We usually take in the newcomers for the last couple years except for
last year. I didn't volunteer at all, so I would really love to meet Tony. He's my kind of guy.
Always a very nice guy. I mean, you know, we've worked together and I think once or twice hung out,
but just with other people like hitting a pub or something and getting lunch, that type of thing.
Yeah, I still have the Pi 2. I also finally found like Pi 4 was hiding under my television set.
I have been given by different people, one of each generation except the Pi.
Yeah, I have like three different generations of Pi, but nothing new except I bought those
not the nanos. I can't think what they're called. They're like the nanos. They're a little
Pi 0 W. It's like a Pi 0, but it's not. It's more of a project board
meaning to make like an SDR or something with it. Well, I've had a one, a two, a three and a four.
I still have the two and a four. These are like Arduino. I have a bunch of Arduino's here too,
but I bought a couple of these and I'm there only a couple dollars each. Like around five bucks each,
you can get them for on LA Express. So in order to couple, just to see if I can do anything with them,
I mean, I'll probably mess up knowing me. I've got a pintime sitting here doing nothing.
They're watch. I have no idea what I'm going to do with it. Right now, nothing. I found a better
digital watch for only like 30 bucks on Amazon that was supposedly originally $2.99.
Yeah, the only reason I like the semi pseudo smart watches and I have one that's maybe a $50
one that I wear is because of steps and it sends stuff back to my phone, which sends it back to
Google Fit. The only problem is they don't work with my machines in the gym or at home here,
so I guess it looks like I'm stepping, but I can't really tell it that I'm, I don't know,
say like on a walker or a bike machine or something. Yeah, my current watch has a app called
Defit, D-A-F-I-T, which of course I changed it on my phone to B-D-A-F-U-K-F-U. But yes, it records my steps.
It records blood pressure, it records stress levels, it records oxygenation, and it does everything.
It's very, very nice watch for only 30 bucks or so. Yeah, remember you posting it. I was
kind of looking at that too, but I have two amazing fits and both of them work pretty well. In fact,
I'm using the older older one I got like maybe almost seven years ago, because the newer one,
I don't know, I don't like this, it's got a really big color screen on it. This older one has
got like a paper white screen, so the screen's always on. It reminds me of my pebble steel, I used to.
How often do you charge that? This one I charge about once every week and a half.
Okay, the watch I'm wearing now usually needs to be recharged once a week, but I had it go almost
two weeks between charges. Yeah, this used to last almost a month, years ago when I bought it,
but now it, you know, it's a paper white screen, you know. Exactly. I mean, the paper white screen thing,
I thought it was dead because I took it out of a drawer without being used for two years,
because I couldn't stand a newer one that I've been using for two years, so I was like,
you know what, I'm going to see if this one works. And I plugged it in, it worked and I
attached it. It uses an app called Zepp and then you can make Zepp go back to fit Google Fit.
So it updates your steps and stuff from that. Well, I don't want Google getting any more information
about me than I can keep it from. Yeah, I don't think I care if they know how much I walk.
But yeah, no, I get you. I get. I have not been able to do Google. I keep trying. I really don't use
Google Gmail anymore, but they're still stuck being sent to Gmail. I just have it forwarded
to my proton. You said you're using Thunderbird. I have not used a email program since I was using
Yodora. Way back when. I had a Yodora disk somewhere around here. It's probably still here
with a book and everything. I don't know. I liked Yodora. There was one I used and Windows days
called Pegasus in the 90s, maybe, or the early 2000s, Pegasus Mail. I loved Pegasus Mail. It was one of my favorites.
I'm not sure if I remember that or not. It was a really tiny client. But the reason why I used Thunderbird
because I have multiple mail accounts, especially a couple for tech and coffee and things like that.
So I can monitor them all at one spot and I can see if something comes in because I get pop ups.
Where if I'm using the web based all the time? I'm not really known if I got mail or not. Unless I
physically go to this size. Yeah, I've had to simplify everything because I get confused too easily.
So I've got everything going to proton or where I don't get it at all. If it goes to Gmail,
it gets forwarded to proton and I have a phone app and a web app for that. Yeah, the unfortunate
thing is I still you. I have a proton thing, but I mostly use Gmail and outload cannot mail.
And email. Yahu mail and live. I'm looking at all the accounts on this because I don't know
there's simple for me. I get some very simple person, but yeah, I mean there's nothing going to
them that I mean other than maybe like I don't know. I mean there's nothing going to that I really
don't care if they know. Yeah, I cancel a whole bunch of emails over the years Yahoo, I had
I got it. I had an AOL.IN address at one time. I think I had a GMX.DE and I also had
something.RU. I still have one site I log into that I log in with the Bard Moss at PM.ME and it
always pops up a little thing. Did you mean Bard Moss at GMX.DE? I'm going I never had a GMX.DE
account under that name. What do you ask me for? I remember when IGN the game makers had mail
I had a mail account for them. I mean I have been on GMX for so long. I'm amazed they're still around.
I guess the same could be said for AOL. I really did for a short period of time have the old AOL
account and I think for a short while I even had a prodigy account, but yeah my early computing
days we had no internet and even when there wasn't internet we laughed at it because what
did you need that for you? I don't know. I think spam but then AOL bought them and merged it.
They're producting with AOL or AMAL so I got stuck with that. AOL is now along with Yahoo
a product of Verizon as I understand it. I have no idea why anyone would spend money buying those properties.
Well I should probably get some breakfast and I need to spend some time today editing my podcast
that I recorded on Tuesday morning. I just got it done on Tuesday like I thought about but
oh well it doesn't have to be there till Sunday morning. Gotcha and I made drop to I've been on
this for over a day and some hours so I should probably I should probably and like you I have to edit
I have about 50 minutes of boring financial talk I have to edit down to maybe 10 or 12 minutes
because I don't put people sleep or I process on HDR. Well you know how I do I've got full circle
weekly news every week and that doesn't put people asleep I don't know what does we don't talk about it
we just reported. I mean it's helped me sleep wait did I say that I love? Thanks George. Just a joke.
Actually I know that Bill listens to it a lot. One of my co-hosts on Mintcast he's on the road a lot
and he says that really keeps him going. To be fair though I listened to most of my podcast at 2x so
you kind of sound like Mickey Mouse to me when I listen to you. Yeah I can't hear anything when I do that.
I the most I do is 1.2x but I've been trying to listen to the real time lately but
I almost part I don't listen to my cats even my own so much but I got to get it out there.
I'm in April it'll be five years on full circle weekly news. I love the full circle magazine too and
I like when you guys post them and stuff so but yeah it's it's a beautiful thing and you know I
am using like a bunch of green as they call it. Who want to green? You know Mint oh okay yeah well
both of my personal computers are triple booting I've got Mint I think one of them cinnamon
because I found out how bad Mate was messing me over the other when I haven't moved to
cinnamon yet and then also of course I have Booty and I have Farron OS because it's nice I have
a mint that runs K to E. Yeah the only two things I run are opens you say mint and then that's
pretty much it and I've been using open to say gosh 25 years mate you know how so. Open what?
Open to say or as you say I mean I started using it when I worked at IBM because they used to have
distribution server so I used to grab the items so it was from them and bring them home on zip drives.
Oh you mean open Susa? Yes yes I probably say it might be your horrible way that nobody understands what I'm
saying anyway so. Yeah some people just say Sus but I've always said Susa. I've been Susa was my before it was
open was my second distro. I mean I had a book of Red Hat 5.1 that I never could get running.
I also had Slack where I never could get running. The first one I actually got running was
Mandrake. I think it was seven it could have been eight and then after my hardware wouldn't run
the update of that I moved to Susa and it wasn't fun but it would run and then until
Ubuntu 8.04 and from that point on I've used Linux almost as much or more than Windows
and 2015 I haven't used Windows since. Yeah I only used Windows for work up to a point maybe from
I don't know I'm going to say like mid to like 2008 on maybe but I would always keep a small
Windows system here and I do keep a virtual box version of Windows here but that that could
scoot it's so little I mean I really need it only gets booted for the two or three programs that
will not run in Linux. I'm still being a lot height on this I have never run a VM. I guess I'm being
a lot because I say you know like virtual box and most people moved on to other things but I'm
I don't know I've been using that since my IBM days and gosh I haven't worked for IBM in
close to 20 years. Yeah well anyhow I better get going and you better get going and whatever happens
here I guess hardware is still here. Hello. Hey baby G. Do you remember me most. See what? Do you
remember me? You're a little bit I I am autistic so I don't remember things very well. I
remember your name I did use a bit on to record because I had can is a favorite so I
remember your name took me sometimes to remember. I don't remember talking to you last year but
I think the year before you were on. Yeah I remember I see I'm probably one day late and one of
you see this is normally then one year and one year one year probably one day late to the new year.
Yeah it's been running for more than 30 hours I it was 31 when I got on and it's probably 32
by now but I was about to get off and I think George was too archer still here though.
Yeah I probably should have heard from you yesterday because do this you this channel
be only used once a year. Oh this channel's here all the time it depends on when you want to use it.
Yeah but I'm wondering if it any one time but the new year it's used because this is the only time
I see people in there. Well it's the only time I want it. No I see yeah because at the
one the time I remember if I remember it then you to check them but uh many people in the
one one. Yeah the time you time I come in here and off of the years but very rarely I mean
I usually and we have a telegram group that has audio on it then I mean I don't often. Yeah so
it's been used less over time because each time I don't need to use the different books
in the different ones and that's it. So I thought this was dead but today is a many people inside
it. Well I'd to talk to you again KDG but I do gotta run. Yeah I'll see you George or you
you. Thank you man. See you. Bye bye. You do me too. KDG are you on the
first or the first or the last one? No not really. Anything so so. Yes it is the previous
live but like I am not in the active one and in one. I'm more into different chat things
where I am I have come to different things but we want with much text there is a little
active. It doesn't actually post anything on this one. So with chat things are you talking about?
This got a never one but the telegram and element if it's a green name to something else.
There's a room for HPR and element and I'm also on this core sometimes.
Yeah I'm not really active on this core but it's somewhere it's possible to have a different
place to reach me. So have you talked before? Yeah I think the last year you sound familiar
what's your native language? It sounds like it's sweet. In close enough Swedish and
it's more less than something. Maybe it cannot be able to speak in your native language.
It's interesting to hear the accent. Yeah my accent is there. Love her name because you are from
USA I'm guessing. In Chicago area normally and then I move to Kentucky. Yeah because people from Europe
are difficult to place me. I understand it was fine I'm just shaking my accent because my accent
is from learning talking in a number. My English speaking in how to speak correctly is learn
through practice in a number. So I don't speak how my native speaking is a number. I remember talking
to someone from my country that guessed where I was from. I spoke over over before we realized
we both were from saying country. So you have to think it's connected to that's you maybe.
Yeah I'm a laptop to I was just trying to work something out on that. I probably should just connect
yeah you have it just understood the other one. So you end up not talking from both at the same time.
I just forgot to go on my laptop and disconnect from there. I was doing experiments with some
radios. Yeah I connect via my phone sometimes in here so when I do my walkies in the morning.
I thought you was going away but it was used most of us wanted to go away.
And we'll soon go away. Yeah I just still kind of working on a little coding things up.
I know you're doing something. Normally the brain cells get on somehow.
Yeah and I'm doing remember I don't do only remember I'm talking not my native language.
So what then is special days in a year you're on use talk about you sometimes you're doing.
So I'm in a lot of other room too. I'm kind of playing and creating, visiting my cat, you know,
things like that. So are you in this number from some special day beside the
day. I come in from a time to time. Maybe a couple of times every couple months to see if anyone's in here.
But I'm usually just in we have a couple telegram groups. Our generic both in one called
tech and coffee. If you highlight over my name you'll see the URL for it. Yeah.
That's where the TAC comes from. Do you wonder?
Yeah I see. And you get to meet his cat if you go over a tech and coffee.
She's in my way. And then you go get to meet Rose too. That's my ex girlfriend.
I don't know if you've seen but those last three people other than Ken that joined.
Yeah I reached out to him given about half an hour and I literally they're all muted
until I reach out to our tech and coffee account to get unmuted. So they can just sit there and stare at us.
Yeah of course. I was wondering if he was to put out
const podcasts or something going on because all people in the same good boss knew that I thought
those on the screen in the podcast that don't it once? I thought those don't really want to do it again.
Oh no no there's nothing in here. I'm talking about our we have a telegram group
outside of here and and oh they are joined. He could really add much at this in the middle of
Yeah people have joined us and they try to scam us with like Bitcoin things and IPTV scams.
So we usually just ban, ban them and report them. But now I've been kind of like asking them
if they're real and give them two hours to respond if they don't I kind of meet all their privileges
so they can just stare at us chatting without doing anything. I'm getting cruel in my whole day.
Yeah you got enough I stopped just using elementary because I got so many
hey by my Bitcoin I should have stopped using it for many moves and then I forgot I had it
muted the whole application. Well guys I'm really in truly gonna leave you out because
I just gotta call so I will talk to you later and I'm meeting a KDG. I think I have talked
in the past but I'm not sure. I don't talk an archer before because he's in my community.
But I'm in that. I don't know if I can and most people and also so if you insane
community man yes it's probably talked to you but yeah it's what talked to you just each
new year it's difficult to remember all the names. Yeah yeah it is for me too. I sometimes write the
things down and keep a little genome sometimes but I don't know again to all to even do that.
So anyways it was nice talking to everyone. Everybody have a great new year. I made
come back later and see if everyone's still alive but I may not. So I used to do a new
telegram and he vanished. But please know I have it probably to see news. Good day folks.
Good day. Well it's a pleasure to meet you sir I do. I've just been catching a few
naps. I can't do the entire 36 hours or what have you straight up like I might have when I was younger.
So you've been having the last sentence for seven just hanging on sleeping. Well yeah I've been
probably two or three hours at most catching catching cat naps but sometimes even voluntarily
sleep can when you're overextended sleep can sneak up on you. Yeah and at least get your hair
you're to talk before you vanished. My name well my handle is net minor may I know more about who
I'm a member in this channel from come to time. This I think this is the new year channel.
Yes this is a new year event that will be eventually edited and produced as a number of podcasts.
Um maybe I know where you're calling from or where you're coming in from.
And no way. No way. No way. No way. Well that's uh I think of first for my understanding
um we've had some English Scottish and of course Ken from the Netherlands but
it is a pleasure to meet meet you from that beautiful country. Yeah I don't travel much but
once a year coming out here the world comes out to say hello very very nice.
Does your computer make up sound when you start talking or make us sound and just
glad before you start talking? You probably might not hearing it yourself. Unfortunately if you're
hearing a beep or something like that I don't know how to stop that. Yeah because I held it before
in number. No I don't know if you check it out. It's uh unfortunately it's not as easy to
disable as the text is feature some other features of my off-standard mumble uh client.
Something that's ironic is that I use the XFCE desktop and their weather application.
I'm in the Boston area and I know the application uses no region weather data because of the
generosity we are government to provide it free of charge. Yeah yeah it's uh the two letters
probably that don't chase. Sorry I don't understand but but what's interesting is that
weather information has to come from my area the northeastern Massachusetts um in
Northeastern US go over to Norway and then we sent back across the Atlantic so that I can
read my local conditions after a two-way trip across the Atlantic. Yeah I kind of spacing out so
about that because I've got invited to run and I got banned before doing it seems like um well I'm
far to hear that but you're never done that before before I have to talk to you.
Oh I don't use fire it seems like I got banned. I'm like correct to the ban. Yeah probably should
focus more on uncing the book they had in limited time because I thought I should multitask
mobile and doing it. Well I don't use too much of the other community our social application so
I don't that's just not something that I deal with much um mumble is about is where my
social activities occur and what's going to be fun is Friday night my mumble
chat group Linux Luckcast is supposed to have our first show of the year after everybody's been out here
over extending themselves so it may be an interesting show to see who goes up and things like that
because a lot of us are in where we don't spring back as much as we used to.
Although I seem to be one of the older members of my group. I'd like to know what the weather is
in your area. It's not snowy it is yet. Yes we've got a very
very light dusting of snow and we didn't have a white Christmas this year it waited until
about a day or a little more later to give us a nice couple of well
probably four centimeters. Archer I was still around. I tried to join them the
Gregor channel thing but somehow I get kicked as it seems like so I could answer the ones back
got charging but I was supposed to answer many multiple times. Maybe I asked where I
stood. I never got a catch out and tell them before. How are you tried taking coffee or
on a nice beer? A coffee thing okay it'd be hard to do doing. I'll talk to George
what I can say. It's fine out for him. Yeah because he said Oscar Joe he can help him.
Because I think I was also born first time and the older times after I said quite a bit
man. Oh he did welcome you. He was just joking around that you're now because we have a lot of
spammers. Yeah, no you're fine. I don't worry about it. I see hello. The problem is I don't find
them thing anymore in them. So I am in the channel or what? Probably should you still
come over but when the chat vanishes I'm not sure how to return. Can you see if I'm still in it
or do I need to read your net? I don't see you in there. I'll try again. Hold it give me about one
minute. I tried to send you a message but your user doesn't come up when I do the
ASMR. Yeah so it seems like I answered the book and get kicked. That doesn't show you got kicked.
I don't know. Yeah I can't try again in this like you've seen Joe in the channel
don't go up and I got the welcome and click kick to prove your humans and I got the
guteration thing and everything is fine. So his question is do I stay? It's when the
bottom says um I'm still excited 10 minutes in. It's probably a normal before I can start talking.
That's probably how you know play a great people. I see you must part in to say ah.
Can I not say a back? So I send you a direct message in case I get dropped again.
So you can easier find out if I banish me and you have a reference um
I just added you to my contacts. So we'll see.
A photo. I do back. No, I'm not any longer than the thing he doesn't
banish on me and he won't go. So it's probably a better sign from not
banishing me. I see he welcomed you again. I guess Rose is doing a little too much banning.
Yeah she was totally talking about how much banning he was doing. That's he did.
Ask me to do it and he got me banned the repeat. But I never got banned from tagging.
And I didn't know how it looked for just banishing on my face.
Banished? Okay. One of one of the other one. Not actually. I'm going to need to and before
tagging. Probably too quiet there. You're right. You said about spam before there was a lot of
spam. So maybe that's how why he has to be careful if somebody is putting too much spam on the channel.
Yeah. I'm wondering if I'm and seeing the both too much is probably a to talk.
What I was talking with a spam and probably a bad kick. Because I was bonding it on
it and said multiple times. Because I could kick 12 times and then tried next time and
multiple times and that got me kicked instead of them. Well the only thing that gets you kicked
on tagging coffee is if you're trying to sell Bitcoin or some starters or something like that.
I see. I never tried to. I got in contact with not only tagging but on elementary. I think it's good.
They are doing some good stuff and then I got spam the whole day.
It's probably right on the COVID. So it's some years ago actually. I need to point
it to the HPR element room. Give me a minute. I'll go over there now. I was going to get ready for work
and have to be there for another 40 minutes. I work it up. Well do they have walmart's over there?
No but I know what walmart is. Everything kind of you have a TV show with the movies about
them, you know, that chop of yours. So it's way too big. I don't like working retail but it's a
job so most by five minutes or so. Yeah it's probably easier to go between. If you have
work at one you have open position and problem moving position sideways and wherever you leave it
in you in you say. If you can allow it to move around. You mean between the departments?
Yeah or between chops it's easier if you've got in the door and it's a big advantage of the
COVID. Yeah once you get right. I don't want to move out of this town though. Yeah so if you want
to have a movie you have a indoor in one work that's make it easier to public keep. Similar
kind of work moving in the same business. Not just in a retail in general not just just a walmart
Yeah it's the walmart because this in my country meet people that move between shops and
wanting if that doesn't mean oh we work at 10 years. There's not this shop although shopping
now does it. So I understand it. Oh yeah once you work five years. Yeah so you probably need
public kind of from day one but if you first are in you had then time to possibly build
a possible to move inside there. If you may be kind of the other side right you probably can
know yeah. I thought about classes in IT to let maybe move not in this store but outside
it's something that's more of my interest. I got the privilege in the telecom thing. So thanks
for getting me tech and coffee. You can voice message in there too. Yeah I got the person out.
Oh before I got the person to say anything and okay that's probably a person. Yeah what they said
both. Once in a while they have something that's like mumble and you just pin it at the top
and then a bunch of people can want to talk all at once. I think it's video too. If you too
I'm looking over to the element thing really quick to see if you can be in the HPR room. So it's
back from the same place as coffee always out different inputs. You said the same place as
Scotty? Uh tech and coffee. Oh they do have an element for tech and coffee too but it's
linked to all around. But there's also hacker public radio room. I see one thing that
that loading it to push in the application. Yes it does. Oh so. Oh it doesn't happen. Oh yeah the
sinking thing. I open it to unfricing there. I hope that was you.
I'm not sure if I actually had this one before I don't. Oops but it was not any
check spings. Oh you're all going to dice you. Yeah I got in. I'm not sure if I
been before in. I didn't check if I had it before. I ask what. Not sure if picture doesn't look familiar
but I remember hearing and I don't remember hearing somebody from your area. I remember
the logo but probably I would have it somewhere else I don't. Do you guys have this code or something
like that too? We may have. I have to check on it in about minute or so because I have to drive
some closer to work. No it seems I'm going to talk with understand to how to read
everything. What are you trying? I'm figure out I'm not being on this code in a
so long time I need to figure out the login again and forgot what I'm going to add and
need to look around to find out what the code did I have. Did you want to make a new one?
I wiped my phone a while ago and I'll have to be just quarterback on. Now we have a handful of friends
there. Yeah I'm not actively using it because I need to do. No it's been two years since
I lost your net. I only joined it because of a work friend and that's not it. No one yet. One year
one to three. Four years ago four years ago I was just in one of the years ago. It's four
five years ago. Just in the one in the last time so it's four years ago. I think it's more
matted why didn't my head. Oh and four years ago I've been active last turn of message and I've
got it. I log in and I think I'm always on but before I did it logs me out. But I got you
list on the target that I actually use more actually. I was just wondering if I always was on this
somewhere that I'd probably seen the logo somewhere else then maybe. Now I don't know how I
job something booksearched. No it seems like I've actually been on the target longer and I thought
I didn't check if I was on it before I joined it. My fault for asking for something I already
was in. It seems but I'm not active. Oh well. To go to it's good to have one point if
number somehow we should move from one year to the next. Sometimes for different reasons
number one can get a new name and if I know other way to contact the people in that number one
it can go or energy because it's kind of. When I found out I still have discord on there and
didn't realize I put it back and then I went to the hemorrhate or crash course and I can't verify
my phone number. Yeah. It took me forever to find out how to release them. When you go to do the
rest I wanted my location and list it. So it took me forever to realize what the email address I
connected. Oh well we're here tonight because I had it the same email is mine. I have to go silent
now I've got to go and work. Yeah. The thanks for having us before I joined the
list one of the one and I probably was in the order. So yeah. I remember you helped me remember
I had the order. I'm sorry good to see you in both the elements and the units PR and
the ground on tell them too. They got a lot of interesting people out. Yes I have a two
dice to reach you. So it's one range and about a second one. Yes talk to you a little. Hello good
lot there. I'm glad to do it. Happy new year for our year for you. Yeah, thank you. Happy new year
to you too. It was awesome to see you before next year. So not mine or you probably went
quiet because I kind of talked to a lot of the person. Oh you probably got this here.
Whoops. I think I'll do it again. So anyone left? Three. You know talk maybe you know
don't have so me can follow this problem. Not all need of so yeah so probably no one
talked to like leave come back and see if someone's annoying so you know what I'm going
better. So probably no one is in and this is one new one populated in the middle so yeah.
Alright so it seems like everybody has left. I don't see anybody talking anymore. I am
go to officially stop the recording. Happy new year everybody. Thank you for another fun
new year show and I look forward to doing it again next year. Recorded time was 33 hours. Hopefully
there's a decent audio from that. Can happy new year and we're going to kill the stream.
