Tier: Quick win · Order: 7 of 35 · Effort: S · Impact: high

What

A strip above the canvas shows Section › Columns › Column › Button. Click any level to select it; Esc selects the parent; Tab cycles siblings.

Why

Webflow breadcrumb, Bricks/Framer shortcuts, Gutenberg “Select parent”. Selecting a zero-padding container is hard today.

Today

A name badge with one small “select parent” button (RenderNode.tsx:94-114).

Depends on

None

From the 2026-10-07 site-builder research (competitor review, user sentiment, code audit, Fable prioritization). Roadmap: https://claude.ai/artifact/QpQcSCk21z6SN7LPSm8tKE · id breadcrumb-parent-selection
