Tier: Quick win · Order: 8 of 35 · Effort: S · Impact: high

What

Spacing, Typography and Colors open by default, collapse state remembered, and the Container panel has one padding control instead of two.

Why

Audit: ~35 style sections start collapsed; Container has duplicate padding controls that may fight each other. “Too many clicks” is a top-4 complaint.

Today

CollapsibleSection defaultOpen=false widely (shared.tsx:295).

Depends on

None

From the 2026-10-07 site-builder research (competitor review, user sentiment, code audit, Fable prioritization). Roadmap: https://claude.ai/artifact/QpQcSCk21z6SN7LPSm8tKE · id style-panel-defaults
