What

Select a word in a text block and a small toolbar lets you bold it or link it, with no panel trip.

Why

Every modern builder has it. Audit: inline text is plain only; you can't bold one word.

Today

Plain text; export escapes the whole string.

Design notes

Store sanitized inline HTML (b, i, u, a, br, colored span) and run it through the same DOMPurify allowlist the HTML block uses. contentEditable is good enough; no editor framework.
