Tier: Core polish · Order: 29 of 35 · Effort: M · Impact: low

What

Grab the edge of a selected section to change its padding; hold Alt for both sides.

Why

Webflow and Divi. Lower priority than the rest of this tier because spacing presets already cover most small-business cases.

Today

Padding via panel only.

Design notes

Writes into the per-breakpoint style objects, so build after breakpoint overrides.

Depends on

  • #32 One undo step per edit, not per keystroke
  • #45 Tablet/mobile overrides that never touch desktop

From the 2026-10-07 site-builder research (competitor review, user sentiment, code audit, Fable prioritization). Roadmap: https://claude.ai/artifact/QpQcSCk21z6SN7LPSm8tKE · id on-canvas-spacing-handles
